I normally use a 3/8 in Head rackets. Would you guys recommend I go with 1/4 or 3/8 with the Babolat? I demo'd both and the 3/8 felt a bit larger, but I felt like my wrist was moving too much with the 1/4. Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!

Replace the base grip after buying your usual size if you have a problem unless that one has the skinfeel grip in which case its as small as it can go.

They don't seem bigger than other brands to me.

Yes its larger, go 4 1/4. Replacing the grip won't do the trick, skinfeel is one of the thinnest grips out there.

it seems Babolat is almost 1 size bigger than other brand.. I play 4 1/4 but I bought the new PDR 2012 as 4 1/8.. it is perfect fit after replace it with a leather grip and put on overgrip.. exact fit as 4 1/4 on KPS88 with an overgrip.. so buy one size smaller..

I would say buy 1/4 and then replace the skin feel grip with a cushon grip. This way it will be close to 3/8. I dint like the skin feel in PST, I love it on AST some how.

Bab grips run big. I use a 1/4 in the PD, BUT the Pure storm comes with a skin feel grip installed. So you can stay with that and not size down.

If you want some freedom to mess around with grips, go a size down.

My 2012 PDR doesn't feel big to me, it fees like a normal 4 1/4. Just my 2 cents.

Ah the skin feel must have been what made it feel like it was between a 1/4 and 3/8. I plan on using a leather grip, so it sounds like I'm going with the 1/4.

My experience as well - I'm comfortable with a Volkl or Wilson 1/4 (two different grip shapes), but with Babolat I use a 1/8.

Syntec is a bit chubby when new. However, it does compress pretty fast and the grip goes to normal :)

The Babolats are not any larger than the other brands - its the shape of the grip and the type of grips that makes the difference. The handle shape of the Babolat grip vs the Head is totally different, if you take off the grips and measure they are the same.

Regardless, it pays off to buy a size down.
