A friend of mine has two Star 3s that he says are in OK condition (not great but not bad either), he's looking to sell them to me, asked me how much I want to pay for them both or just one.

What do you guys think I should offer him? I've seen prices here ranging from $600 to $1200 for good/great condition.

    Thanks in advance.

Have you seen them in person (strung a racket on them also)?
I don't see a reason why you should buy two of them(unless you he gives you a great deal for buying both and you can sell the other one later or if it's for stringing at a club).

    This is my opinion:

I would recommend talking to your friend and having a look at the machines and ask to string a racket with both.
Decide which one looks in better condition(if you don't want to get both).

What do you guys think I should offer him? I've seen prices here ranging from $600 to $1200 for good/great condition.

From what you mentioned about the prices if it was for me I would try $550-600 for a starting point and work your way up from there.

    Hope this helps.

    Drakulie has a Star 4.

$500-600 if the clamps are original.
