That Star5 is $3000 in America and you can call Babolat directly. You can get an optional two more years (to make it five years) on your warranty for $200 more. Also, the Badminton upgrade is $349 or $399 (I forgot already!:/)

So, you need to have a contact there who can send it to you ;-)
question is, how much would the shipping be? that beast weighs 141 pounds or 64 kg
Good news is, it's in one box :p

    djeezz, 3000$ !!! that's only 1.976 euro, man what a difference...

Shipping is about 1000 USD. yeah its a beast but you have to know which company is good at handling large packages and don't charge outrageous oversize shipping fees

the quote I got was for about 950 USD. I think the only way to circumvent it is to say you're shipping to yourself cuz you are relocating to Europe or what not.

I have no idea how much a sensor costs over there

    sensor vs star 5

well a sensor in belgium costs about 10 000 euro! what about the warrenty whit the machine. Will babolat belgium will give me the same when i buy the star 5 in America ... A 1000 euro shipping cost is ok with the low dollar these days ...
Only searching a good shop right now!! The goodwill of you guys will be necessary... I'm searching ...

In this months RSI Magazine someone is selling a "used" Babolat Star5 for $2,800, he might be willing to send it overseas. I can get you his name and phone number if you are interested.

10,000 euro? holy crap. you could get 3, yes 3, sensors in the US for 10,000 euros and still have money left over to buy a grill and some meat to celebrate.

I know of somebody who has an almost new Star 5 that they don't like as much as the older Star 3/4 and he's trying to sell that

Again, the fishy thing will still be customs as I have no idea how customs will handle a massive box that looks like a coffin

Its a shame you dont know any military in the US. I had my mom send me a 70lb box of stuff when I was in korea only costed me $70 US. not really sure how customs work in Europe, but if it goes through the Military postal service I'm pretty sure they dont charge much at all.

How do they treat stuff you bring in from a flight (as far as taxes and such?) round trips are only like 500 Euro according to delta. Excess baggage fee probably only 100 USD.

Yeah, my father lives in Germany (US Consulate in Frankfurt) and all my postage to him is the same as ground local.

They say sometimes it takes longer for heavy packages because its a space available basis, but at that price whats the big deal :)

Also I know there are bases in Belgium as well. because my old supervisor is now stationed there (Lucky).

Hahahhaa. I wonder what Babolat would think about all this underground Star 5 movement. It's like the stringing machine black market. :D :D :D

Anyone knows the emailadres for babolat Poland???? On the official babolat site the email for Poland doesn't work (delivery failed). This is the one: biuro@babolat.pl that doesn't work! They say that maybe the star 5 is distributed there. I hope so...
