I've seen comments that Tonic is the same string as VS, just made to a less strict thickness tolerance. Is this true? Is there any downside to using it (I'm a 4.5 player who hits pretty hard with moderate spin) vs VS?

    Thanks,

It's a tougher string, harder on the arm, with less feel and less consistency.

So it's not the same string as VS with a less stringent manufacturer tolerance?
