Hi, I hurt my back about 4 months ago and actually haven't played much tennis since then and I'm sure I hurt it when I was serving. I want to know a serve that is easy on the lower back but still effective. Are there any professionals that have a very back friendly serve? I am 6'4" and I am still growing (I'm 16). Thanks!

I would simulate that serve in the HUGE serve thread.
Stiff motion, controlled, rely on your height to get rackethead speed.
Don't arch your back, don't lean forwards on prep, but stay tall and straight up postured.

Try Sjeng Schalkens service, he had a typical service motion because of his back. Also try to toss the ball a little bit to the right of you instead of to the left, so your back doensn't have to arch so much.

I find a slice serve to easy on my back, so toss forward and to the right (if you are a righty).

Don't copy the foot fault either, for that matter.
