If you add .6ozs of lead tape at 3 and 9 to a racquet that is originally 11.2oz and 4pts head lite, does that then make the racquet head heavy? If not, then how many points is the head-liteness reduced to? (I dunno even know how the points are measured)

Edit-the other thing is I called my local tennis shop on it and he tells me that LM Instincts are all even-balanced!!! Is this true-not according to the manufacturer???

assuming that your racquet is 27" long and the 3 and 9 position are ~20.25" from the buttcap the balance point shifts toward the head ~3/8" so your new balance is ~1 point head light.

Thx, rich. Could you figure something else out?
I took out .2oz from 3 and 9 and applied it at 6(which will probably make no difference) and then taped lead crosses worth about .3oz right on the butt of the handle.

I'm assuming that should raise the head-lite factor to ______pts????

I understand you to now have .4 oz at 3 and 9, .2 oz at 6 and .3 oz at the butt. Is that correct?

I took all the tape off the at the butt and at 6 so now I have just .4oz at 3/9.
Can you calculate that for me. I tried the formula you wrote in the other thread but to no avail.
Thanks.

based on all the original assumptions this will shift the balance point up 1/4" so your new balance is 2 pt HL.
