Hey Kiwisam i travelled to Spain from Oz and did the RPT course that they have there and the whole place was awesome... money well spent. The coaches there were very giving of there time including Emilio Sanchez and Sergio Casal, i was made to feel very welcome by all and they certainly didnt portray themselves to be superior to me. I learnt alot and it was money well spent. I have no hesitation in recomending that you go to Sanchez-Casal.

ok thanks.. Do you have any other details?

Like contacts? or Just General Info.. He doesn't want to go somewhere that is just looking for money.

And actually I think it might be more than two moths it really depends. He wants to make the most of it.

As far as Spain is concerned, I would also recommend the Hofsaess Academy in Marbella. It is run by the coach who discovered and developed Steffi Graf. I have been there three times already and each time improved tremendeously. The weather there is good enough to play outside basically year-round.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else here has been there.

Hola Barca, i'm back from Castellfedels, i guess you were not in town to come over, really wanne to meet you and get a drink... anyway we had a great time, just some pain in my shoulder, i've hit like crazy on the spanish clay (and there was some wind on saturday)
We also went to that "famous" club in Castell, i'm sure you know what i mean ;-) man, i've never seen anything like this, it was like the garden of Eden (Marco his fault) :p
needless to say that i love Spain :)

ps: do you live near Castelldefels?

    Si si t e n g o gusto de Castelldefels mucho :)
We've lost quite some money but it was worth it.
I like the scenery there, trees, beaches, everything looks quite clean.
Sunday we went to Barcelona, man we ate good there, i think the name was something with cent 111 .
Do you play at Gimeno too?

Yes, always keen to find the best place. Thinking about a week of intensive tennis. Am ideally looking for something that offers tennis-specific conditioning as well and some good group lessons.

Hi Barca, I was planning to go to an academy in Australia as a 'sparring partner', hitting with juniors, sweeping courts, stringing etc. In return they were willing to provide free accommodation and meals.

Having second thoughts about the cost of flying to Australia, i would really like to try coming to Spain to play on the clay. Do you know of an academy where i could do something similar?

    Thanks, Dan
