Nah, this game's about the sum of all the matches you predict and how it stacks up against others. So you're in all the way to the end. Just saw that Jay answered you already.

    Don't jinx yourself.

Since we are doing consolation matches what does that do to the H2H points for the event?

Oh I see what happened. Unfortunate for your team....but that is what happens I guess. I remember some blind picks making the difference to getting a win over a team.

Nothing happened to his team yet, that matches counts toward the finals, the Ferrer/Tipsy match decides the SF winners. I think he is just angry he did not take the gamble thats all.

Its part of the game..if every single draw went totally according to seed and rank tennis akd this game would be very boring.

Incorrect. Federer/Delpo does count towards the semi-finals NOT the finals

My bad...in that case it does stink. But I still do not get calling it a terrible pick...Delpo beat fed in a final not to long ago so its not like he cannot beat him. Stinks it cost his team the match though. But upsets happen in these tournaments, after Bercy I think we all learned that.

I don't always drink wine, but when I do, I prefer it to me made from grapes that haven't soured!

The true definition of a "pick of desperation" would be for you to try and catch up with Tipsy tonight. I'll be "tipsy" on my own with a fine South Australian Shiraz, thank you!

Here's my ****ian logic for the result...JMDP just beat him in a more meaningful (to Fed) match; Fed has already advanced; Fed would prefer a "softened up" opponent in the final should he get there and JMDP/Murray will be more of a war than Ferrer/Murray. I think the three-way-tie rules support that, if I read them correctly. If not, just go back to my first reason.

This is what I'm assuming, change it if it changes. I've to go in a bit.

    WORLD TOUR FINALS SEMIFINALS
    1. [2] R Federer (SUI) vs. [3] A Murray (GBR)
    2. [1] N Djokovic (SRB) vs. [6] JM Del Potro (ARG)

    ELITE EIGHT
Predict the amount of games. 1.5 points per match if you're within two plus or minus. (Ex: If prediction is 20 and actual result is either 18, 19, 20, 21, or 22 points are awarded.)

(If you're still in the H2H, the games picks can be completely different - please clearly indicate what is what.)

I won't pick tipsy though because I don't realistically think he can win, just like you didn't realistically think del potro was gonna win.

Another thing is how is picking del Potro "desperate"? It is not like we were down in the H2H and had to pick him to get it back to a tie or anything

Your pick is fine Tammo, since you think the guy is going to be runner up in the tournament somehow.

I'd advise all to just not take romeo seriously when he posts random negative things out of frustration or spite whenever things don't go as he expected. It's a well established pattern by now.

BS...I posted why I chose him: he had more on this match than Fed AND he beat Fed in Basel!

I am a huge **** but I don't always pick him...I won Halle PPL picking Haas in the final (and every match he played that week). A long time ago a wise man counseled me to bet with your head, not your heart. This was a perfect example.
