No, Geniuses just came out and Djoko would be the one trying those out, considering that they are his signature shoe. But You never know. Whatever they are I just want to hold them in my hands,

I think the B5s look way better.

It's such a radical change from the B5, perhaps Murray will be under contract with Adidas and those will be his signature shoes?

I don't think so. Because of the two color split sections (for lack of a better term) this would seem to point to a Barricade...at least to me.

Agreed, Djoker would have them first. I would even go as far as to guess we will not see a Genius II untill late 2010 or early 2011.

New CC Genius should be (according to the Adidas catalog) be out 1-1-10. Looks pretty cool, kinda like a cross between the barricade 3 and the CC Genius. Only color I really remember seeing is a green color. Hope that helps.

And are they calling this a "CC Genius II" or is it just a new colorway?

Those will be fugly. Any shoe that adidas puts out with the adidas logo on the side looks bad.

Paint job shoes at the U.S. Open?

The logical explanation may be that Andy Murray could now be wearing the pre-release Barricade 6, easily paintjobbed to look like a white/dark striped Barricade 5.

If Adidas or other big shoe companies are interested in top world players who continue to wear their shoes regardless of contract, obviously those top players get tremendous preferential treatment.

Experts on these boards have repeatedly pointed out, with pictures taken by (relatively) unbiased media, that Rafael Nadal’s Nike shoes have been painjobbed in the past. Roger Federer is known to have wide feet, but the publicly released Nike Vapor series is narrow – so the shoes he wears on court are simply not the ones off the shelf that anyone can buy.

Similarly, most of the Oscillates that Sampras was believed to wear in his heydey looked like custom one-offs up close.

Putting a big giant white section with a much smaller adidas logo on it is ugly.

The 3 stripes of most Barricades are much nicer.

Perhaps it's just like that because it's a prototype or something, maybe they dont want to give away that it's a Barricade shoe so they put that thing over the stripes.

Or it's really the B4 or something he feels comfortable in for practice, and they dont him to be seen wearing an older model. The logo on the tongue looks more like a B4.

Has there been any confirmation on the release time frame of the next Barricade model?

I think all the fugly comments are actually directed to Murray.

I think they look quite nice, but i don't like the big adidas logo in the inside of the shoe.
