I don't get how this model relates to Beijing or the Olympics. Stars and stripes/Shanghai models I get. Maybe I am missing something from this one view? Actually looks rather plain as far as colorways.

The Olympic kit they've done is black and white, so it goes with that.

As ugly as the other special editions were maybe they decided to do some less tacky. The other versions looked less designed for a tennis court and more for a hiphop video.

Going by the pic above, it's a very clean and stylish Barricade, and likely the best version Adidas will ever do.
Forget Beijing - they should market it as "The Barricade Classic"

They should've colored them in cloudy dull gray colors, that would accurately represent the pollution in the area.

This colorway makes no sense. It's almost identical to the black and white barricade V they just came out with. You have to look very close to tell them apart.

HAHA... cry more losers if that makes your look/feel better. adidas sure doesnt know what the name 'Made for Beijing' means for their sales number, and thats why they made the entire line

Poland, as most European countries is much more expensive, so it's about 200USD here.

And believe me it's not a really high price here... Europe is generaly more expensive especially now since the USD is so weak (that is for Americans). But still although USD is weak the taxes and shiping costs make ordering from the USA only a bit cheaper than buying let's say in Poland. If you buy more stuff... some frames, a couple pair of shoes etc. than it get's better.

Funny but as far I remember only Israel has this currency... :)

They look cool, but I couldn't pull off a silver shoe so I doubt I could pull off the gold.

Those gold shoes look good. But they look to good so that i'd be afraid of getting them messed up on a tennis court.

Puma make a massive range of sailing stuff, especially, there are loads of different types of sailing shoes by Puma, maybe 10 models or so.

Interesting they are coming out with a 2008 Shanghai model. I thought last years was a one time thing.

furiousYellow - you can do it. Bring out the gold shoes to your local tennis center- you will be the talk of the club :)

I tried these on today. They felt so clunky. I don't why everyone on here likes these shoes.

^Probably because they'd be competing against themselves. They just introduced some other new colorways in addition to the Olympic addition.

This way, in 3-4 months when you're looking at replacing those shoes they bring the Shanghai Ltd. Edition out.

Not very sure but I think it's the map of Beijing. In case you're lost during the Olympics at least you'll have a map with you!

hahaha well i think it is the map... and that's probably the only thing on it that'll tell you its the olympics edition. Unlike the Shanghi one lol with big traditional words on it.

It covers you in a smog of leather/synthetic while oppressing and suffocating your foot. Looks good on the outside but, underneath, it stinks. All warranty submissions will be addressed by 5 guys dressed in black and wielding billy clubs. Best not to complain, okay?

    All in all, very Beijing.

Sure, we can give it to all of those people who were evicted from their land when China started preparing for the Olympics. Must be 1.5-2 million displaced and I'm sure they'd feel right at home in California.
