    Hey guys,

Just seen the new Barricade 7 and don't really like the look. So thinking of grabbing a pair of V's/6's while they are still available on the market. I still play in V's but I'm on my last pair. I can grab another pair (in white, I love the look) or perhaps grab a pair of 6's, which I never played in. If I were to get the 6's I'd get the white/black/red, I think they look awesome:

However I know responses to the 6 were mixed, with complaints such as too narrow and a less comfortable fit than the V's. This is why I never bothered with them up until now, though I like the style. And judging from a recent poll on this forum the V's are still a fan favourite. If the V's are more supportive and more durable I'd go with them again for sure.

    What do you think?

They do have a narrow fit... Length is true running on small...

Narrow is an issue, I wear Thorlos thick socks and the V's are narrow enough. Any narrower might pinch.

I mean they aren't extremely narrow, more than the V though

That's funny, I couldn't stand the look of the VI's. It's one of the primary reasons I went looking to other brands for shoes. Sorry that I can't compare them to the V's for you though.

lol I hated the 6's at first too, weird I know. I called them space boots (look a bit futuristic). Eventually I came round to them. I like the cable bit in the middle, and they look pretty sharp.

Probably go for V's again though. Any narrower would probably be too narrow with Thorlos. I think I remember checking out the 6s in the shop and they didn't seem as robust/solid as the V's, it was like comparing the Barricade to the Team.

    Thanks guys

5 and 6 have nothing in common.
    5 and 7 are similar

If you go for the looks only, then, you have a problem...

    6 are narrower, uncomfortable...

7 are by far the best performing Barricades so far -- comfort, fit, stability, durability!

Where would you get more pairs of V's?

Oh no, the look of the 6's was just a deciding factor for me. I loved my V's, but I still went up a whole size to wear them. I thought it would be better to find a shoe that was a better fit for my feet. I went from 11.5's in the IV and V, to 11 in a Gel Resolution 2, to a 10.5 for my Nike Breathe 2k10s.

I'd look into the 7s if you can spare the bones. I tried a pair on and they felt great, certainly a roomier fit than the 6s.

5s may be hard to find now, and no warranty anymore either.

Nabbed myself a pair of white barricades UK 10 off **** :D Arrived today, look amazing when freshly new! My old pair looks very much forlorn in comparison.

Warranty isn't a big deal, I don't think you get it here in the UK anyway, and besides I don't play enough right now to go through shoes that quick!

I liked the B6s a bit more than the B5s, personally; they fit me better. But I'm clearly in the minority on that one.

After the 7's the 5's really feel crappy and painful (I used to love them).
Without a doubt the 7's are way better
