Well I got bumped down to 5.0 so I guess I won't be playing league this year.

    Sad. Disappointed.

Played doubles with the Prestige the past couple of days, I think in dubs I am about as good with it as I am with the Wilson.

The lack of weight on my serve and ground strokes doesn't really hurt me in dubs, I return equally well with either, and the Prestige volleys a bit better, and is a bit better on reaction, or cute shots inside/around the service line.

For singles though, the Wilson is clearly better. On a very fast court they are similar, but as the courts get slower the Wilson shines more and more.

Has any of the New York contingent test driven the Wilson BLX Blade Tour?

P.S. I sent you boys the contact information for a very fine player today. His name is Steve and he lives on the upper East side. I met him while on vacation here in Scottsdale Arizona. I saw him in action on court, and he definitely has the skills. :) Give him a call. I also understand he plays tournaments at Sportimes (? sp). :) Best, BHBH

Seemed like a really nice guy. Forty-one years of age. Fit as a fiddle. Very solid looking game. Get ready........... BHBH

Played today with the weapon of my ancestors.

Two sets of shadow dubs, (1 vs 2) some volley drilling and about an hour or maybe a little less of hitting before the blue spiral packed it in.

Might have to break out the fed-ized J-90 this weekend. It is just unfair how nasty my ball is with the thing though.

    "Fed-ized" ?? Please say more. :)

Have you gone "Full Fed " like Geoff (ie, identical down to the P1 grip and placement of the string savers) or something less ambitious?

No, just a K90 to my normal specifications, and an Ncode buttcap that I keep a gut/poly stringjob in.

    Nothing over the top.

Have you considered using 1stServiceTennis.com for all your Fed needs? Geoff is amazing. :) BHBH
