I actually think this will mean a great deal to Roger. It's his home soil, he was a ballboy there, won the title there and now it's named after him. I think it doesn't get much sweeter that that, unless they name Wimbledon centre court after you
Wow..thats cool.Agree with you-It'll mean a hell a lot to Roger.
A little premature if you ask me. It's kind of weird with Fed not even close to retiring yet
That's pretty awesome.
On the contrary it's even delayed! He had to win 14 to honour him in Basel?!!?
But would be funny to play in Roger Federer stadium!
Yeah I guess it would be funny for Roger to play in his stadium.
Yeah, imagine Fed losing on his own court. Ouch.
That's weird... he's not even retired.
Oh well, it'll be funny to see Roger Federer win the title in Roger Federer stadium!
When is the renovation ?
This is a great way to honour Rog. Imo 'The Roger Federer arena' sounds better.
Wow. An early tribute I must say.
This is really cool...if not a tad early...
Eventually him and Sampras need GS stadiums named after them
It will be a bit awkward when they’ll have to chance the name to “Wawrinka Arena” once Stan will surpass Federer’s records…
Well if Switzerland will get a GS or Masters level tournament (Not sure if this will happen) I'm 100% certain that the main court will be named after him.
As much as I love stan it wouldn't happen.
not to sound like a broken record but yeah, a little early, but definitely deserved I'm sure a very meaningful gesture to Roger.
doesnt sound as good as rod laver arena but interesting he got one
Separate names with a comma.
