    Hey all

I bought a stringing machine (basic gamma drop weight) a year ago with the intension of just stringing my own racket. And while I know how to string my Wilson now, I've been experimenting with other rackets.

My main question is how do I string rackets with eight grommets on the bottom. Can I still start from the bottom of the racket? I'm stringing two older rackets I have and I am having trouble knowing which mains to skip because I am not used to having eight grommets on the bottom.

One of them is a 14 x 18 racket which is a pattern I am not used to

Any help would be greatly appreciated

With 8 grommets at the bottom, you will start from the top.

what racquet is it? Enter it in the racquet finder on TW and you will get the specs and the string pattern.

If you have a current model racket. Many of the older rackets aren't listed.

I have a racquet that wasn't very popular and couldn't find it on TW for specs. I have been able to find info on TW though using the racquet finder and making sure the "current models" box is un-checked.

no prob. that klippermate and other links that posters share are great too for times when TW doesn't have info.

I use the Klipper site as well. It's a great site, but be aware that they are a bit generous on what they list for the length of string you need.
