What beam width do you prefer?
22mm is just about right.
what's a beam?
19-20mm. Nothing over 22mm.
beam width measures the thickness of the frame...so basically when you look parallel to the racket, you're looking at the beam.
18-21mm, nothing over that.
your photo doesnt work...
for me i like 18-21 as well...i thought 20 mm was PERFECT...but i guess anything around that would do..22mm jus seems too thick for me and feels awkward when i hold it
It was from Tennis for Dummies ... no kidding!
Anything from 20-24 mm is fine.. over 25 and the old slice BH.. seems to suffer.. or maybe it is just all in my head.

I prefer 18-20 just because I'm used to it, more clearance for topspin, and it's typical of the rackets I like. However, I would not overlook a racket I liked just because of a bigger beam than what I'm used to.
So where does the 16mm beam fit in the survey?
As I write, it's 86% for 17-21mm. What the hell happened to all the Babolat users around here? Or are they just dissatisfied with their racquets?
For me, 17-19 mm. is the optimum.
My Racquet has a 22 mm Beam, so that is what works for me.
15 and 16 mm are not represented in this poll.. Whats the deal???
Wider beam players are out playing and we sincerly hope you don't switch to a more powerful stick.
Put me down for 17-19mm also.
