I used the TW method to measure the swingweight and it came out to 393! I measured my current stick, the 238.4 XL and it came out to 361 which seems reasonable (my 345 SW K88s feel easy to swing after using the 238.4). I will get the 260.2 measured on the RDC one of these days.

He does have a nice fluid motion, would put that high of a SW to excellent use :)

berdych has been playing with an un-CAP-ed prestige YT Pro which has been leaved up.

    Here we go again...
Why don't you look through this very thread?

He is playing with the TGK260.2.
The TGK260.x is the YT Radical MP, not the Pro (269.x) and is naturally uncapped. The TGK260.1 = 18x20; 260.2 = 16x19 (Berdych)

I'm just saying, you don't have one of his sticks in your possession so you don't know for sure that he is playing with the TGK260.2, my theory is that it is a YT Prestige Pro Uncapped and leaded up. am i not entitled to an opinion?

Of course you are just like everyone else. However, DR just told what the fact is. Btw, DR used to have several of his personal frames. Actually I think he still has one in unplayable condition :)

Here's a picture of Berdych with his tgk260.2 in YT Radical MP paintjob.

Look at the profile of his racquet. The sides come to a sharp point. The Prestige line has a flat profile - I wouldn't call it a box beam but it is flat and different from the Radical line. Here's a picture of my Prestige MPs for comparison.

Great work, however, this kid is just another one of those "smarty pants" off from school until next week...
No need to waste time with him.

watching brdych vs nadal at the moment, i notice that berdych's racket is so flexible, curious of its stiffness

YTRMP is in the high 50s. The combination of a flexy frame and a ton of lead has it feeling like a pillow that hits like a brick. I think that it's interesting that Nadal has upped his game in the swingweight category to better compete with Nadal - it appears to me that Nadal is hitting the ball harder and maybe with slightly less spin with his new setup.

    ^^Thanks for uploading them.

One thing I love about the clear caps on my IGRP is that is much easier to slide the lead under than with the black ones.

Old thread, but I followed this setup on a 260.2. There was silicone already in the handle, how much I don't know but a good portion was scooped out of it. I found that after adding 4 inches at 12, 2x6 layered inches at 3/9 and topping up the silicone I came up short on the 13 ounces. Also according to vidda, that balance is 31.8 strung with overgrip. To achieve this I added another set of 4 inch strips at 12 and had to also add about 15grams of lead at the top of the handle to get it at 13 ounces and balance of 31.8. I presume some this is oweing to more silicone in berdych's frame.

I haven't hit with it, but swinging it, it does feel beastly. Probably won't keep this setup but a fun experiment to know how his setup plays.

I also put the same **** grip he uses on it which I bought a couple years ago when I was visiting NY.

    Isn't tgk260.2 an actual 95 sq in?

I'd say swingweight is north of 390 and it is a 95 sq in.

    suggestions ?

    been using a retail instinct

would like to keep the 16 x 19 pattern, and stiff frame, but get away from the shared holes

the 260.2 95" too small for my game

    what retail head racket fits?
hit with the old MG Radical MP way back when I liked it, but not sure about that string pattern

MG Radical MP and TGK260.2 (YT Radical MP 16x19) have identical head sizes...if that helps. In fact, the TGK260.1 (YTRadMP) and TGK231.1 (MGRadMP) have same sizes, and string patterns, though, the molds are different..

I think that you'd be better off asking in the general racquet section as there are other makes of racquets that might be more like what you're looking for.

I thought Berdych switched to Graphene XT Instinct MP earlier this year? Did he play with Graphene Instinct MP again or it's just a PJ?

Yea, but why didn't he take the new Instinct pj with him. Vera, Shara, a top Australian guy had it.
I can't see a guy like Berdych who wears some of the most flamboyant stuff from H&M having an issue with the pj of the new instinct.

Berdych has a history of using old PJs, even after he has a new set of PJs. I remember him using the YT "Halloween" PJ for many, many months after he was supposed to switch over to the Instinct PJ. He sometimes practiced with the Instinct but played with the YT. PJ shouldn't matter but if you think that it matters, then it matters.

It might not have been the paint job that is the issue but the racquet it self. It may not be to the correct specs that he wants and they're still working on it for him.

There's a YT PJ at the other forum site. Looks really nice but I have enough of them already.
