Best display of mental strength ?

Federer's 2012 Indian Wells comes to mind. Federer last beat Nadal on outdoor hard in 2005. He was broken when serving for the match at 5-2. He served for the match a 2nd time at 5-4, and after winning a tense long rally to go up 40-30, it started raining! It took great mental strength for Roger to hit an ace against his nemesis and king-of-rain-delays after the short delay.

It was also a very important win for Roger, whose 2012 likely would've ended much differently had he blown that match.

They played only 3 times on outdoor hard after Miami 05 and before IW12: Dubai 06, AO 09, Miami 11.
It was a good display of mental strength from Fed, but not really great.
But hey, its a clear counter for those mentioning Dubai 06 loss.

As much as it causes bile to fill my gut, Serena Williams for the 2015 season. He mental strength and belief in herself was incredible. If memory serves, she was in serious trouble at least once at the AO, Roland Garros, and Wimbledon…and she went on to win
