I love the crosscourt "shooter" drill/game.

Basically, two players are involved in a strictly crosscourt rally and anything that does not go crosscourt into the court means you lose the point. Any kind of shot is allowed. Additionally, one of the two players is the shooter. The shooter is allowed to play longline whenever he sees fit and once he does so, any shot can be played (both crosscourt and longline) by both players.

This gives good practice on how to act/react in a crosscourt rally. Extremely useful and fun as well.

That does sound like a really good drill also. I'll definitely try it out, thanks.

Another really good drill for me is the net attack drill. I play a short ball for my students to play an approach shot and after that they play out the point. That way one can simultaneously teach the correct net approach and the defense for a net attack.
