    This looks like an O 3 Blue/Citron. Measure it for 27.5" L 110.
Six soft grommets at the throat. Honeycomb rubber grip.
Over the years Prince would donate many of the tester frames to NJTL and other youth programs.

Hi! New member here. I just found this little item in the Salvation Army. $5 marked down to $2.50. Dunlop Revelation Superlong Tour Pro +1. All Graphite. I went out after reading about PT630 finds and was determined to find one on my first scavenger hunt. I'd say this is not a bad first score.

I hit a couple serves with it today. Seems pretty cool. The grip is too big for me (4 1/2) and is pretty funky.

the ISIS is a very comfortable handle that absorbs all the shocks.... if it's too long just cut it shorter and reseat the butt cap.

I'm definitely tempted to try exactly that. I only hesitate because I actually feel like there are so few longer racquets around that it would be a shame to ruin it if this is a desirable racquet to some die hard fans.

That's a really nice frame! Plush and good feel. Way back this it was my dream racket, after finding one cracked at my tennis club that i brought home and played around with all day long. I was so jealous of my friend who got one instead of me a couple of weeks later, still stings ;)

Would be a dream to find an 1880s Tilt top or lobbed racket as they could be worth over $1K.
Many have found NOS PS85's and similar classic graphites.

Well, we had one of us find one of Gabriella Sabatini's Yamahas at a thrift store this last year... That was really cool.

Yes, I remember that led to lots of interesting discussion.

I feel fortunate to have come by an Edberg ps85 classic paint job at relative thrift shop kind of deal but not the same as picking it in an actual shop as it was mailed to my door ;)

    Prince Graphtech DB 90.
Thought this was a cheap mid range job. Did a basic regrip & against a wall it packs some power. Doesn't play like a stick from 1988. The rubberised undergrip gives a soft cushioned feel. Sleek frame moves thru on serves pretty well. Only 14 mains like a POG. Going to clean it up, better grip, buttcap repair & a modern Syn Gut restring.

Just picked up a k factor 90 for $3.53 ! Says it was strung at the PGA superstore back in May with ALU power @58#. Still has leather grip. Multiple chips but no cracks. It's a better price than demoing it

I use photbucket.com which allows links in html just like when I click reply to your post and it shows /QUOTE written in the block parenthesis. Of course, it'll have IMG instead.

The Christmas Holidays were good for thrift store scores.

Head Comp Pro. I've played with this one twice now. Hits a heavy ball. Kind of hard to serve with as it is more head heavy (though exactly the same weight - 348g) as my regular racquets.

A matching pair of Spalding Davis Cup woodies. Notice the plastic on the handle of one of them.

Slazenger Demon badminton racquet. I just bought this because it's beautiful.

Yonex R-20. No idea about this one.

I would just be guessing, but maybe early 1970s? They say "rough" and "smooth" on the opposite playing sides, if that's any kind of clue.

Strings ok unless noted, nasty grips are standard,
$5 - Slazenger Panther Boron Ceramic 90 white - broken old yellow strings - inc cover, did a partial restring & hit up on the wall. I'm liking its thin 17mm beam flex. Going to put some Forten Dynamix 17G over the next few days.
$5 - Slazenger Silver Phantom grey - no cover
$5 - Emrik Moritz 90 black - come with correct cover with the tightest zipper ever...lithium spray for you...
$5 - Prince Graphite Power Pro MP gry, blue - no cover - only 14 Mains!
$5 - Pro Kennex Energy 90 gry - no cover
$2 - Head 660 wht, blk, pnk - inc cover

$5 Head Microgel squash - sold for $60
    $5 Prince squash - sold for $60

Got my lazy eye on a Yonex Super RQ1000 Long - around $40

Just found this Prince Original Graphite OS (110) for $2. Had a little crack on one side of the frame at 3 o'clock and some worn away graphite at the bumper at 11 o'clock. Took it to my guitar luthier and he used some epoxy resin to shore up the wear and seal and fortify the crack. Seems like it might be ok!

And last week found this Tracy Austin signature model. A tad overpriced at $5, but I couldn't help it for a "lightweight" wooden racquet.

Those are still readily available! At least on Volkswagens...:)

And it seems appropriate given the racquet I suppose.

$15 Prince Precision Graphite Pro 600 midplus inc cover. Paid overs a bit but it's a tidy clean stick.

$6.60 Head Ti.S2 MP metallic orange inc cover, repaired just a few strings

$6.60 Wilson Ultra MP inc cover (sold for $45)

$6.60 Wilson Hyper Hammer 4.0 OS inc cover (sold for $60)

I've been picking up racquets for a few years, and never found anything too interesting.
Then in the last month I've found a Wilson Pro Staff ROK and a Yonex RX-32, both of which I'm very interested in giving a try.
My problem with thrift store shopping is that after paying $5, it is hard to pay even $30-50 for a racquet.

Same $5 is normal. $15 is about top I pay. I know of a Pro Staff ROK at a store for $20.

I'm right with you there unless I know it's something I want, will play, use for a lengthy time, and has some resale value.

i can't help but feel a bit like a junkie when I'm in the thrift shop and the first thing i do is look for the tennis racquets.

I recently found a pro kennex prism ace 90 for $5. Total 80's graphic on it; pretty funny really. I strung it up and hit with it and the thing hits okay.

I've got a fever... And the only cure is more cow bell.

I just got a NOS Slazenger Omega woodie :) It has a split throat and appears to be numbered 1790, plus it's made in Japan! I grabbed it for the heck of it. Even if I just use it to defend myself in case of a break in, I got it for the lovely price of... .65 cents :) It even came strung with some crappy looking nylon that's blue and white (I definitely felt like a junkie rummaging around looking for old tennis racquets) :) It still had some deteriorating plastic on the handle! I have managed to get most of it off, but it keeps getting stuck to my pants  If I want to hit with it, I would have to remove the new leather grip and shave it down to a cool 4 1/4, at least if I want it to be comfortable.
