Did a search on here and can't find any capitol region feedback. Thanks.
You should probably go to college park, it's a bit of a commute, but probably worth it. But what do I know, I'm in Texas. Seriously though, check it out.
He's talking about JTCC (Junior Tennis Champions Center) in College Park. Three of the top ten US juniors train there. Two blocks from College Park/UMD station on the green line metro.
I would be interested to hear about good serious junior programs in DC area and more about JTCC as well. Is it really as good as people say it is?
It is truly a very good academy with a very strong coaching staff and many very talented US juniors have come from there in the recent years. Just to name a few: Denis Kudla, Junior Ore, Mitchell Frank, Beatrice Capra and other younger top kids in the country.
I also believe that they were the first official Regional Training Center that USTA named a few years ago. They also boast Red French Clay courts and have indoor/outdoor courts.
Thanks for reply. If anybody had a kid train there can you post some impressions? Does a kid have to be very, very good to be accepted in their program?
I don t know the exact criteria they use to take on the kids, but I assume if you pay, you will play.
It isn't far outside of DC at all.
