Babolat IS the best. 9/10 of the more established tennis players on this board would tell you that.

    EDIT: Okay, 6/10 easily lol.

Personally I think Volkl is the best, though, i can only compare it to wilson and gamma since my pro shop doesnt have the babolat leather

i've only tried wilson and babolat. babolat takes a few hitting sessions to fully break in...but i've had no troubles. the gold lettering comes off on your hands..but no biggie. the wilson wasn't so good to me. i've had it on many rackets and on my 6.0 95s, i found myself chucking the racket on serves....and that's never happened to me w/ any type of grip...so that made me question wilson's leather quality...but you can't really go wrong w/ babolat. cheaper than wilson, but just as good...if not better.

im using babolats right now and love them. head calfskin would still probably be the best in my opinion but they're fairly difficult to find and can be pretty costly so for the price, babolat is awesome in terms of thickness, durability, and firmness.

Free: I asked my local club pro, and he found a pile of them in a back room made by prince. The only issue was that they were very short, I have a one-hander so it worked out well.

    if memory serves, they do...

Prince doesn't make leather grips anymore, do they? my pro-shop has a stash, but they're all marked '1995'...

i like the babolats since for me they are the best value for the money. but they aren't very tacky so if you don't use overgrip you may find them a little slippery when your hand gets wet.

I preferred the feel of Wilson, but I use Babolat cuz it doesn't increase grip size.
