Did you see sonderling's serve on masters final 2009?
Del potro can hold federer's serve well but not sonderling's.

we don't talk about the fastest serve but the best one. The most effective serve if you need explanation.

exactly, so why dont you take 3 mins out of your day, log on to the atp website look up stats for most service games held. roddick at the top. most aces roddick second only to karlovic. 1st serve percentage also higher than everyone else. and to the guy who said federer serve is overated, 5th in aces, first serve points won 2nd, second serve won 2nd, service games won, second to roddick, break points saved 3rd. stats dont lie.

I'm interested no one has brought up the return game yet. Also i suggest that the serve contentions could be more easly resolved if divided into a first serve and second serve category, maybe with an overall category.

Ok, but to whom you made aces also considered. If you make aces to delpotro or federer is different than you made aces to 200 something player.
And Sonderling made alot of aces in masters final 2009.

But I don't mind give number 4 the best serve to Roddick :).
