Arguably yes and the absence of wimbledon 2007 on the list doesnt make the options limited. They are all legit.

Oh but it does, and we both know why you didn't include it, don't we? Because Fed beat Rafa at his (Rafa's) BEST, totally peak form.

    Hahaha, indeed.

Firstly, Rafa was not at his best peak form. Secondly, as a huge Federer fan, why would I not include it for this reason?

I didnt include it as there are already plenty of wimbledon finals on that list, particularly including Federer and I dont think the game was particularly memorable. Federer was expected to win and he did, albeit he dropped a couple of sets to a battling Nadal. Perhaps it was still worthy of inclusion but it wasnt exactly a no brainer to have it on there as you seem to suggest.

Disagree, Nadal played as well as I've ever seen him play on grass, probably his top 3 grasscourt performances of his career.

Oh and I'm a huge Rafa fan

Simple, you're not a Fed fan in the slightest, quite the opposite actually (one can very easily conclude that from your posts in this thread alone, as Sid showcased).

The reason that you didn't include it in the list is because it's a slam final in which Fed beat Nadal.

    Battling Nadal, you don't say?

Anyway, yes it's a no brainer, quality wise it was a better match than any other option save for 2009 AO Final.

Please don't tell me who I am a fan of. Im not sure what comments of mine you have seen that would make you conclude that I am not a fed fan. In fact I even mention me being a federer fan in my second post of this thread which you have then highlighted in bold. Maybe you should look at my post on the below thread if you still doubt.

Do as you please but know that you are wrong. I think as you would have seen in the thread I directed you to, my love of federer can be in no doubt unless you believe I said that just for the sake of it.

    Where's the RNadal v SDarcis option? :(
That was the real final of Wimbledon this year.

no, they are not. the quality of those 2 finals were much lesser compared to the wimbledon 2007 final, much inferior.

While the 2009 final atleast had the element of surprise, with delpo upsetting fed, the USO 12 final had no such redeeming qualities .

No one who followed tennis properly would say they were above wimbledon 07 either quality wise or significance or history wise . wimbledon 07 final had nadal seriously challenging federer on grass while federer was on his way to equalling borg's record of consecutive wimbledons.

I wasn't so sure when you posted this, but the latest set of posts seem to indicate so . Atleast one thing for sure, a fake federer 'fan'. Not sure whether it is just JV or a horde of guys ( in that case, where are they coming from ? )

What's all this fake account rubbish? I joined last month and have only one account. Anyway, let's stop fretting about the absence of the 2007 Wimbledon final. There are still plenty of good options to choose from.

Yes, it's another one of those (fake Fed fan) accounts which plagued TW for about a year or so (since Fed won 2012 Wimbledon and JV stopped posting, what a coincidence).

Well you know my opinion but apparently we'll never know for sure.

Ivanisevic fan here....So I have to choose 2001 Wimbledon. After all the heartbreaks he went through, I had given up hope that he would win, but then 2001 happened...But I felt so bad for Rafter. If there was any other player I wanted to see with the title, it was him. But at least he had two US Opens to comfort him.

Christ what an absolute tool you are. So after seeing my post on the'who's fan are you' thread, you still think I'm not a federer fan? I posted that before you started to imply that I was lying about being a federer fan.

Guys, I don't know who the hell JV is and I have 1 account on here. What would I have to gain from creating multiple accounts and pretending to be a federer fan if I'm not? It would be ludicrous and pointless.

Indeed, it's somewhat annoying but what can you do.

    Why, thank you.

    Yes, I'm positive.

I agree. It was intense. Goran's absolute last shot at the title and he knew it. The horror of going 0 for 4 in Wimbledon finals loomed large and the pressure in those last few games was riveting. The madness of the tennis under those circumstances was something to see. Goran serving double faults and 2nd serve aces and kissing the court and praying on those match points. Thinking about it makes me want to go and pull out the DVD...

W 2008 followed by AO 2012 for me. At AO 2009 and USO 2009, Fed ruined it by completely deflating in the 5th. USO 2012 was ruined by the windy conditions in the 1st set and also the lack of intensity in the 5th. What makes the 2 I picked special is that they held the distance with a high level of play. Agassi-Ivanisevic was also fun but Goran lacked the big match experience on the important points. He was very much a rookie in slam finals.
