What are the best tennis scenes you've seen in a movie?

For me, personally, one of the best has to be the scene in "a good year" where the English banker Cityboy (Max) plays against the French wine maker (Duflot). Wooden sticks, a bit of Fred Perry Vs. René Lacoste...

Reminds of me of an old beaten up court i used to play on as a kid.. always seemed to have leaves on it.

Also, some good advice from Uncle Henry to a young Max in an earlier scene:
    What are your favourites?

Any scene in the movie "players" with Ai MacGraw in it........even better when she's in a Bikini or removing clothes.

90s film with Kevin Costner and Anthony Hopkins called "Revenge" had a nice tennis scene in it.

Tom Hanks had a good one. I think it was Bachelor Party.

The Witches of Eastwick had a good one as well with a magic tennis Ball.

In general though there are no good tennis films. Its not a sport that an actor can effectivly replicate and filming it right is all but impossible. The game is to fast and too highly skilled. It would be nice for tennis fans to have a good film on par with something like "The Natural" but its just not going to happen. Besides that most people cant even understand the rules and scoring of the game so its pretty much a no-go for film.

But hey...for me a great match is like a Film. The tennis version of "The Natural" is Sampras beating Rafter in the Wimbledon final to break the record. If you want to see a Tennis version of Rocky find a great Leyton Hewitt Match. Maybe that bDavis Cup where he was down 2 sets to Love against Federer.

The tennis bit at the start of season two of the Sopranos was terrible - the instructor was so bad. The only redeeming feature was Adriana La Cerva in lycra.

Dunst's tennis scenes are mostly shot tight and aren't terribly believable. Paul Bettany's scenes, by comparison, are very well done and atmospheric. The CGI-driven scene when Dunst and Bettany play outdoors at night is completely dumb.

All that said, this was a very good movie. I'm not a romcom fan, but this flick really is an immersive tennis environment.
