What do you think is the best way to use XP points in the game. I was thinking that developing forehand, backhand, and power was the best way to go.

The game is about having a decent return game and powerful strokes.
IMO, service is not much of a factor, along with volley and stamina.

I've set my character with these stats and played through career
mode set on Very Hard and haven't lost a single match.

    90 - Forehand
    90 - Backhand
    70 - Service
    90 - Return
    30 - Volley
    70 - Speed
    30 - Stamina

I remember not realising you only had a certain amount of points and made all of my skills reasonably even... It seemed to work, I completed the game

Cheat. Choose a skill (forehand for example). Make it 31. Press A (or select whatever...) Then press on it again, move it down to 30, you'll regain the points you first spent, but NOW PRESS B (or cancel, whatever dude). See now that you have extra points but still skill of 31? :D quickest way to pwn the game.
