Santa sent me an iPad for Christmas and I was wondering the best way to use it for tennis. I teach several kids and also help out a local high school team. I have kept stats on matches using tennis trakker app but was wondering what other people do with the iPad to teach/instruct.

    Any help would be appreciated!

Put it on the service T in the middle and see if you can hit it.

Can an Eye Fi card transfer a high speed video file to the iPad?

I don't know enough about this subject and don't have an iPad. The capability to transfer a high speed video file to an iPad wirelessly might be useful for instruction by providing a large bright display.

For example, can a Casio high speed video camera, such as the Casio Ex FH100, transfer a HSV video file to the iPad by using its Eye-Fi capability? [An Eye Fi card is an SD card with Wi Fi capability.]

For example, a general Eye-Fi camera to iPad application:

An important issue to look into first is: Can the iPad do stop action frame-by-frame once the HSV file has been transferred?

I tried to look for this in itunes and couldn't find it? Is that the name of the app? I downloaded VideoPix, it seems like a good frame by frame slow mo player.

I will have to give this a try! :)

I was thinking of saving some youtube vids of instruction or pro players strokes so I can show students the pro's form/proper form.

Oops "Swing Analyzer" is the correct name. Every pro I show it to loves it and buys it :)

Coach's Eye app. Just came out recently. Drawing, voice over, slow mow step by step. Then email the vid to the student.

Use a Continental Grip. if you use a Western grip you will not get enough distance because of the low swing weight. Adding lead at the top could help fix this problem, though.

Perhaps Apple will release the iPad Tour later this year (it should have a higher swing weight than the current versions).
