I vote for Murray.
my vote goes to djokovic.. 1 grand slam > 0 grand slams
1 major, 5 masters shields, and 11 500 or lower titles, for a total of 18 singles titles
0 majors, 6 masters shields, 10 500 or lower titles, for a total of 16 titles.
not much debate, really.
djokovic has also made more slam finals, and put up much better fights in both the ones he lost.
Djokovic, by far. The 1 Grand slam is the pinnacle of his career - it's something he will always be remembered by. Murray doesn't have that . Djokovic even has more tournaments won overall than Murray - 18 to 16. Djokovic has consistently had higher year-end rankings than Murray, even though Murray has surpassed him for little bits in the middle. They have the same number of Masters Series titles (if you count Djokovic's masters cup, which should perhaps count for even more.)
By what metric would Murray have a chance in this poll?
1 slam vs 0
1 YEC vs 0
The only edge Murray has is in MS titles. Djokovic so far.
I dunno, lol
Agreed well done.
Djokovic has a slam and has finished the year number 3 in the world, nuff said
All that needs to be said
- one fluke slam vs no slam. Tie.
- annoying mother vs annoying mother. Tie.
- gf okay vs gf okay. Tie.
-funny impersonations vs fugly impersonations. Đoković wins.
Djokovic's gf is hotter methinks
I thought we didn't count that slam anymore. :-?
Thank you JB.
Welcome BACK to Talk Rafa.
Murray Career Prize Money: $13,107,298
Djokovic Career Prize Money: $19,402,956
Fluke or not, a Slam win is pretty much an automatic ticket to the tennis hall of fame for Djokovic. Murray is not there yet.
I'm sorry but Rafa's gf is hotter than both.
Yep. And the WTF win against tired and injured players. Another fluke. Anything he has ever won was when the entire field was tired and injured.
just kidding. commando shorts.
Me thinks you kept your thermometer in there longer.
The above poster stimulates the poster below me.
Me thinks Rafa hotter than his gf, no?
Do you mind my posting in youre tread, RI , er Serendip.
The real deal
Djokovic at the moment. Murray by the end of his career.
you have a crystal ball or something???
The way they are both playing, I would not put my money on either...
Djokovic has a grand slam and having a grand slam is important - because, as you know, Murray doesn't have a grand slam, and when you don't have a grand slam, that could be a problem - especially when you compare someone with a grand slam to someone without a grand slam at all. it seems like the person with the grand slam would be the obvious choice over the person without any grand slam. So, you really need to consider grand slam performance when you compare Djokovic (again, the one with a grand slam) to Murray (the one with no grand slam at all).
also, grand slam
indeed, almost a tie on this "mum" point...
still, murray's mummy wins as regards the most "frightening jaw" !
1 year-end masters cup > 0
1 slam title > 0
3 slam finals > 2 slam finals
9 slam SF > 4 slam SF
(and djokovic reached the SF of all the slams !)
14 slam QF > 6 slam QF
Top Five Weeks: 174 > 107 (through late september)
Top Ten Weeks: 184 > 129 (through late september)
hard to vote for the muzzette against the djoker...
Djokovic has had a better career so far and when both retire it will still be the same.
Did anyone mention that Đoković has a grand slam which Murray does not (a grand slam, that is).

On topic! Djokovic clearly, at least for me. They have the same number of MS titles if you count the WTF, however it's not far fetched to say it's more important than that. Djokovic also is the consistent #3 in the world and has surpassed Murray in the rankings most of the time.
Gael Meowfils. ???
more than enough evidence to show djokovic has had the better career so far
I hear what you're saying, but what about the fact that Djokovic has a grand slam
and MURRAY HAS ZERO GRAND SLAMS??
1 grand slam, 1 YEC and 5 masters>0 grand slams and 6 masters, pretty straightforward IMO.
djokovic, at least he won a slam
Well Blink, get your finger out and get it sorted Coach.
What happened after all your tips at Toronto?
How many times are people going to point out Murray hasn't won a slam event yet? It is just one slam event that separates him from the likes of Djokovic and Del Potro, and when he wins it, they are back to being equal. All it takes is two great weeks and you have your slam winner. Murray is more than capable of winning them.
It's not as easy as that.
I hear what you're saying...
But what about the fact that MURRAY HAS ZERO (0) GRAND SLAMS??
And even if you got rid of that slam entirely, he'd still have a better career — and, from what I have glimpsed from afar, a better life off the court.
You see, whereas Murray is merely funny-looking, Djokovic is genuinely funny — not only with his famed impressions, but in his interviews. One of the highlights from the U.S. Open was his increasing use of erotic comparisons after winning a match. First, triumph was like a blissful sexual encounter. The next night, in reference to Roger's tweeners, Novak declared he had something else between his legs with which to concern himself. So, while Djokovic spends his nights in long, sensual workouts, Murray prefers to spend his in the company of a video-game console, his joystick in his hand.
Plus, Djokovic's goofy parents look like fun drunks; Murray's mom looks like a raging alcoholic who would beat him with a tennis racket handle if he misses a drop shot. I'd feel sorry for him if he weren't a multimillionaire.
yeah true that, much just stating the obvious?
i hate murrays mum, shes such a pest!
djokovic is such a good bloke, murray is meh ..
yeah and djokovic is better as he has his own clothes, shoes, dampener etc, murray hasn't really got anything that is specified for him only. probably just the bag, but djokovic has his own signature bag also.
cant stand andy murrays mum.
this is the dumpest poll ever
even if murray wins aslam and nole doesn't in the next year
novak will still have abetter career
Nole has a cute baby brother. What does Andy Murray have ??
I don't know that, but as far as I'm concerned Djokovic is the one who has ONE GRAND SLAM whereas Murray has NO GRAND SLAM!...
Separate names with a comma.
