Murray has not been a beast. But he definitely has skills. Very interesting that at any point any lowly player can take him out, the same ones that you would never think can take out Fed or Nadal, but when he faces Fed or Nadal he becomes a different player :?

Are you like 100% sure that Nadal will pass Borg? You say that Murray needs a major if going against Del Potro or Djokovic? Arent we comparing Murray to Djokovic in this thread?

Clearly Djokovic - Masters Cup winner

People tend to forget that along with the Australian Open win, Djokovic also won the Season ending Masters Cup in 2008, an event that is second only to the Grand Slams (and superior to Masters 1000P

I would have to say Djoko. He's been #3 for a long time now, has won 1 slam + WTF and has also won more titles overall.

Wrong. Djokovic has less than 2 slams (but more than 0) and Murray has as many slams as Soderling, Davydenko, Ferrer, Gulbis, Barak Obama, Lady Gaga, and Christopher Columbus combined.

Even I have as many slams as Murray, Soderling, Berdych, Henman, Ferrer, Gulbis, Verdasco, Davydenko, Nalbandian, Blake have combined.

Why are we asking this question again?

What about Murrays career so far would even hint at being better than the Djokers?

At GasquetGOAT....Rafa's girlfriend, while attractive, is most certainly not hotter than Murray's or Djoker's girlfriends.

Ok, time for a serious angle now :)

    at the slams:

    AO: djoker - 1 win+2QFs, murray - 1 F , djoker >> murray

    USO: djoker - 2 Fs+2SFs,murray - 1 F , djoker >>murray

    FO: djoker - 2 SFs,murray - 1 QF, djoker >>murray

wimb: djoker - 2SFs,1 QF, murray - 2 SFs,1 QF, murray probably has some better scalps, murray ~ djoker (murray >djoker, but not by much )

talking about YEC 2008, though, funnily enough that was murray's to lose ... He stupidly exhausted himself in the fed match and lost to davy .. the only real good match djoker played there was the finals, murray was clearly the in-form player going to the YEC and was playing very well in the RR

    LOL !!!
I saw that but could you jog my memory.
How did he exhaust himself, could he have prevented it.

I can only remember it went to 3 sets. iirc, fed was running him from side to side like he usually was doing that year, even when he lost to Andy.

Please note that the votes for Murray have increased by almost 100% (from 4 to 7) whereas in the same period votes for Djokovic have only increased about 50%.

Đoković clearly on a steady decline.

It's a really tough call between these two.
    Let's look at the facts.
    Exhibit A:

    Exhibit B:

Okay, we have a Tiebreak. Let's settle it with something else ...

    Round 1 Winner is Đoković.

well firstly, he was already through to the semis, after fed won the first set, he could've let the match go, but he didn't. he was again down a break in the third and came back .. lets just say the match was a Pyrrhic victory for him

okay. but was Federer out completely ?
what if Feddy had won ?

Does this qualify Murray for the Darwin Award, at least ?

    ^^ Brilliant, Yoda.

But I still think Murray is too much of a mummy's boy NOT to win a slam.

Federer said so in public, so it must be true.

Whoever is voting for Murray is a biased joke.

Djokovic has the slam Murray is longing for, he has a further 2 finals, a TMC and a bunch of TMS titles. Semi's at every slam... It's not even close.
