Haven't used these strings in awhile and I don't know why, the USRSA rates these strings to be quite stiff but from my experience it was surprisingly powerful and relatively soft. Anybody else like this string? Is ALU Power any better? I've used both and it's been so long since I've used the Original.

I was always under the impression that soft strings (gut, multi) are powerful and stiffer strings like kevlar and poly are much lower powered, is original more powerful than ALU? From my memory, it seemed to be.

I got the same feeling that Luxilon BB Original Rough 16 is quite soft & powerful. Also same test statistics tells me that stiffness is at around 266.

Don't know why. Waiting for any body have some insight on this?

    bb originals

ive tried these b4 on my friends yonex 003
and i have to say its pretty good all around.
but ive recently popped these after while of hitting (approx 3 weeks)
and now on my techinifibre i have bb al power roughs

i suggest trying the alu powers a try bc they give yu more spin etc.
and it also depends on yur play style and what racket yu use

Even though BB original is stiffer technically I feel that it plays softer and more powerful than ALU.

That is why you see a lot of pro's using ALu in a hybrid set-up, but you hardly ever see pro's using a hybrid set-up with BB original.

Most of the pro's that use BB original use it as a full poly job.
