What would be his strategy for his next match ?

It looks like good set up for some extreme strategy he can try.
Everybody thinks it's irrelavant match. He is not really
    a baseliner.

Extreme strategy like chiping and charging almost every
possible point since he has excellent net game.
Attack serves as much as possible since he has excellent
return game(used to be top returner on tour...)

He already plays S&V but I would like to see him
trying something out of ordinary to disrupt the rythm
of his next opponent, the all mighty one.

he could sneak some sleeping pills into Rogers water bottle, or (as pat cash said) pour water onto rogers strings. he could have someone continuously set off car alarms outside rogers hotel all night.

The reason they play out these matches is because on any given day, any one can win. Who knows. Bjorkman might play out of this world. If he serves and volleys exceptionally and Federer is a notch or two below his standards, it may be interesting. Or Federer might get injured before or duing the semi.

The old guy is too tired after playing three 5 setters. Fed is going to destroy him.

Yeah, but as Tchocky said here somewhere, Fed is as good as it gets in terms of a sure bet in sports. Bjorkman should try his absolute best to hold serve, keep the ball in play on Fed's serve, and enjoy every second of being out there on the center court playing the #1, for such thing is not meant to last. It will be over in a jiffy.

    Of course, this is true.

However, we've all seen Federer beat everyone except Nadal while operating on less than 8 cylinders, i.e. the '05 summer series, including then #2's, 3's and 4's who came in to their matches on a roll.

Unfortunately I think this would be Bjorkman's best chance. Jonas biggest weapon is his return but doesn't have enough serve or fh to make it close. Still an exemplary effort on Jonas's part to get this far.

I think Ancic stood a better chance today and should have attempted to keep constant pressure on Fed by coming in, s&v, chip and charge, at every opportunity, to see if the percentages fell in his favor. He didn't seem to have the belief in any strategy and never committed to one. It may have not changed the outcome but I would have liked to see what happened.

I was going to say pray, but this is better.
Maybe he needs to hope Federer gets some bad food and is a little.... ok, a lot off his game. :p

If he can hit with heavy topsin and play with a little heart he should have no trouble knocking Federer out.

put your $$ where your mouth is.

It may throw Federer off of his game if Bjorkman says his hair looks stupid, other than that he has no chance barring injury to Fedex.

Did your mother ever tell you that this kind of incessant behavior can cause hair to grow on your palms and/or blindness?

It's just nice to see that Bjorkman can walk away with $$$high six figures$$$ for all the tennis he's played this week and a half in singles, doubles, and mixed, in addition to the bonus money he gets from adidas and Wilson.

    serve and volley

I think the only strategy Bjorkman needs to incorporate is serve and volley. He needs to come into the net on every single point. After every serve and after every return of serve. That is the only chance Bjorkman has into taking a set away from Federer.

He has to come in after using his backhand for a nice aproach shot. He must do this often if he wants to win couple games.

Federer has plowed through serve-and-volleyers on his way to the semis, and Bjorkman will be no different. Henman, Mahut, and Ancic were all routinely passed at the net, and embarassed at the baseline. A precocious baseliner is going to come out of the bottom half of the draw in the finals, but Federer has also dominated Gasquet and Berdych, the two young shotmakers. Fed's opponents stand no chance regardless of the tactics they use. With Super Mario out of the way, Federer has no more competitors in the draw.
