So I was clearing the garage and found one of my parent's Donnay Bjorn Borg Mid racquets. It's wood+graphite, blue, with the original strings.

I couldn't find any specs on the racquet, and was wondering at what tension i should string it? Was hoping to go retro/vintage on the courts against my friends for some rec. games.

    thank you in advance!

High 50s to low 60 s with a good multi........putting poly in a wood stick silly.

If you like it really soft low 50s. We string woodies all time and use them on "woodie" days and have had no issues stringing them even in the 60s like the good ol'days.

Just really check the holes and make sure the frame not cracked or warped. Make some power pads and use tubing as well on the first 6 or 8 holes in the throat.

Oh yeah....don't use a freaking dampener - dumbest thing in the world is watching younger folks trying a woodie for the first time and putting a dampener on......1. We all end up laughing our butts off at him 2. This person will be the target FOREVER for jokes - in fact we try to ban idiots like that:)
