I was reading some regulations at the tennis courts in Sydney and many of them forbid people wearing tennis shoes with black soles. But doesn't that wipe out a large chunk of tennis players since most wear barricades5? Is this the case everywhere?? This is one of the reasons why I'm thinking of gettin the vapor instead.

I would think most would ban black soles mainly to marking the court. However, I was under the impression that for the longest time, most black soled tennis shoes were non-marking and said so on the bottom. I remember older Nike DRC soles specifically had this marking.

have had no problems with my blk/red bIV on any of the sydney and melb courts.

most syn grass tennis club would also forbid you from wearing runners, because of their aggressive sole pattern.

They largely prevent black soles to stop the marking on the courts but tennis shoes with black soles don't leave any marks. I use B3 btw.
If the people in the courts are reasonable or play tennis, they'll understand.
