Are they durable with the mesh uppers? I want to get a pair but am concerned. A lot of people have mentioned that they were worried about this but never any follow up to answer whether they were durable or not.

damn dude, don't be an asshat to the guy.

But yeah, they're holding up well. Unless you plan on dragging your uppers across the court, it shouldn't be a problem ;)

What? is your spam more helpful?

Man i hate some of the pathetic children on these boards.

Anyways also to add, the black vapor 5's are particually better than the regular ones because their breathability is much better :)

There is no mesh in this shoe! If there was any mesh, then tell me why the black vapor's weigh a tenth of an ounce more than the others.
Everyone just assumes it's mesh because it has grey dots on it. No where in the description of the shoe does it mention mesh.

kerryj, don't you believe your fellow homies? The black vapor Vs are indeed mesh. Next time you are in your local shop, check it out.

They are not letaher shoes as the white Vapors, they are mesh. I don't know about their durability, but they are very beautiful and unusual.....

Had mine about a month playing 3-4 times a week and I see no problems with durability. You won't regret the purchase.

I work in a tennis shop and I think that the owners said that they're getting a new shipment of the black ones in September. They may have been referring to the white/red vapors coming in, but I'm pretty sure that they said the black ones would once again be in stock in September. If you really look for them on the internet, they're available, though.

I am writing this post wearing the Black Vapor V. I purchased them via Internet and I had the chance to try only the 41Eur/7UK/8US size of the white leather model because they don't import numbers below 41 or the black one.
I used the Nike calculation formula and the Tennis-Warehouse shoe sizing formula to figure out if I should stick to the 41 size or go to the 40.5eur/6.5UK/7.5US size. The formulas indicated 40.5 for my one foot and 41 for the other. My other shoes adidas running were 42 and the nike basketball shoes were 42.5. Both of them much longer than they should be. I took the gamble and went for the 40.5.
The Vapors fitted 100% from the first moment I wore them.
My left foot feels 100%. My right feels a bit tight. My left shoe feels like an extension of my foot.

They are just beautiful. If they turn to be tighter than they should be I will order the 41 size at once. It is a great looking shoe and it feels so steady, firm and light. I used my running and basketball shoes to play tennis and these shoes feel like I am on a different ground. I have not tried them on court yet because they arrived a couple of hours ago. I will send my feedback after I use them on court.

I had the black vapors for about 4 months and they are holding up fine. They are an amazing shoe. Great traction.

I am glad that a bmw fan approves these shoes. BMW produces the best cars in the world. I hope the Nike Air zoom proves to be equally good.

You can't find any other manufacturer who achieves 50-50 balance between the two axles of the car. BMW are superb and phenomenal. M3, M5 and M6 and the new X6. And BMW have the less fuel emissions and consumption among all their competitors. They are just a great company in all aspects and respects.

These shoes are phenomenal. they just became extension of my feet. And although my feet are not identical each shoe took the shape of the equivalent foot.
They can make the difference. And they feel so light even compared to my running shoes.
I am not going to play tennis again not wearing a tennis shoe. It makes great difference.
