Didn't you get the memo? Nadal was injured there, that was a "fluke."

Which Nadal has since avenged, and more than once.

Rosol confirmed that "phenomenon" at Wimbledon.

Controversial knee reminds me of Nancy Kerrigan for some reason.

Yes, he was injured. And yes, it was a fluke (no quotation marks needed). Soderling still won.

Yes, that's true. I was just correcting a factual mistake. Soderling did beat Nadal in RG in 2009.

Actually, he had. I'm somehow not surprised you missed it.

Don't you know?. Rafa should have bee bed ridden accodring to the experts here.

Bozo must be as dumb as many of the posters here (in fact, he may well be one of them), so I'm quite surprised you would be giving him any credit. The rest of the people on this thread giving him credit are the same ones who keep posting dumb nonsense all the time...

About the contradiction you're talking about, doesn't it occur to you that he might have decided that it has just been too long and that he needs to start playing now if he wants to do well during the clay season?.

It could also be that the pain he feels in just because the knee needs to adapt.

    Both non controversial explanations.

The only contradictory thing there's been here was when Rafa said the tendons were fine. I'm not a doctor (and it appears no one here is) but I wonder whether it might have been hard to see in an MRI because of the Hoffa's syndrome.

There's a reason Bodo is nicknamed Bozo. Trash journalism at its finest.

I just said it as it is

Compared to such tennis journalists like Steve Tignor and Bill Simmons and Jon Wertheim, this guy is a disgrace.

    AD hominem.

It doesn't matter WHO HE IS, it matters what he SAID. I don't see you offering a rebuttal to the article, that makes your response quite childish.

Not a fan of Nadal at all but I don't like the tone of bozo's articles - they are filled with venom.

And what is Bozo's point, anyway? He has no proof. His grandpa was a Nazzi back in Austria, by the way.

You are like the wiener in grade school that raided his hand and ratted out other kids to the teacher when they were misbehaving. Lighten up, bud. I'm trying to make the point that Bodo can no more prove that his grandpa wasn't a Gestapo officer than he can prove any of his nonsense about Nadal.

And what does THAT have to do with the fact that it was claimed that BP was invincible on dirt and a bone crushing rejoinder on that statement was made?

Oh come on. You can't be serious. Bozo is childish. Who needs a rebuttal. Even people that don't pledge allegiance to Nadal, like me know this article is rubbish.

Maybe, it's not like he's not a proven cheater, and I CERTAINLY think part of his absence the last 7 months or so has to do with his pride being hurt by that putrid-not to mention disgraceful attempt at bullying-performance at last year's Wimbledon.

I disagree about Bodo being spineless he's the only journalist asking the tough questions. Okay, Nadal is injured but if his knees are so terribly injured why doesn't he just have surgery?

Nadal is the one who has the Greta Garbo disappearing act he's the one who went away in a vanish.

Yet the guy appears on Facebook smiling and laughing with friends going on a romantic vacation with Juan Monaco last year too.

You are the one who claims Nadal is gay, don't you?

Anybody claimed yet that Nadal is Alkaida (or whatever that's spelled)? I think Nadal might be a terrorist. A gay terrorist that likes bullying (kinda like Gaddaffi but with horrible hair). :)

    Tushar! :)

I don't think Nadal is a demi-god, he's just one of the best fighters tennis has ever had. And that's good enough for me.

So skipping a tournament (for whatever reason, hurt pride or injury) is cheating?

What "hate" are you referring to? He IS a proven cheater, he DID have a putrid loss to the 100th ranked player, and he DID try and intimidate that player. The only thing I said that wasn't fact was my opinion that part of this long lay off can be attributed to his pride being hurt and/or shaken confidence. YOUR words are dripping with, uh, let's call it "cluelessness."

Where did I say that skipping tournaments was cheating? I'd have thought it was obvious that I was saying that it's easier to believe that somebody who is widely suspected of using PED actually IS using them when you take into consideration that he is a proven cheater in other areas of the sport. Guess it wasn't obvious to some people. I don't hate Nadal, I simply have no respect for him, feel he is bad for the game, and hope he never comes back.

Then don't read them. Believe me, I am EVERY bit as unimpressed with YOU as you are with me-difference is, I don't have a comment about the drivel you write all the time. And, while you're at it, why don't you "enlighten" me on what I said that was incorrect?

The way you are expressing yourself clearly exposes a deep seated hatred towards Nadal. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you can acknowledge it.

There are two facets to words: Denotation and connotation. The connotations of some of the words you use are so negative (as in "putrid") that it's hard to ignore them. Do you use "putrid" often to refer to sports, or anything else, for that matter?

Also the way you intentionally capitalize some of your words for emphasis, is quite revealing. Seriously, you sound like a goth girl behind the keyboard conspiring against one of her arch enemies. Take it easy, dude. Maybe a visit to your mental health care provider is in order. ;)
