Alright, since there are so many revisionist historians around, I'd like to hear some people have the guts to go out on a limb and make a BOLD prediction about what will happen on tour (results-wise) before the end of next season...that way we can hold people accountable.

Example of such a bold prediction a year ago would have been picking Federer to win the 2009 French (interesting that most of the people who now say that winning the career grandslam is a prerequisite for being GOAT would never have predicted a year ago that Fed would win the French this year).

    No hating, please..

And remember, no matter how ridiculous the prediction sounds, we can always check on it at the end of next year.

I'll start -- my first bold prediction:

Roddick will win at least 2 of the next 5 Slams (covering 09 US Open thru 10 US Open).

Murray shall win two slams(09 US Open,10 AO).

    Roddick will win wimbledon.

Federer will win his 16th slam at next years us open.

Both Federer and Nadal will fail to reach the final of the roland garros.

US Open 2009 Champion - Marat Safin
Aussie Open 2010 - Lleyton Hewitt
Roland Garros 2010 - Nicolas Almagro
    Wimbledon '10 - Tomas Berdych
US Open '10 - Richard Gasquet

Oh..you said bold not obvious...then Fed wins some slams Nadal wins one and Murray/Djokovic/Del Potro make some finals or win some. Think I'd get a good return on those predictions rather than the 1/1 odds I'm getting on the Hewitt and Almagro predictions.

Nadal will not be able to maintain his agressive style of play against the top player and will drop out of the top 5 by the end of 2010. Juan martin del potro will win a grand slam next year and donald young will reach the semi finals of an atp 250 tourny

-Nadal will not win a slam next year, not even the French
-Roddick will drop out of the top 10
    -Blake will retire
-Federer will win atleast 2 slams next year
-Del Potro will win atleast 1 slam next year

Novak Djokovic wins the Calendar-Year Grand Slam in 2010.

It's not a question of "if?", but "when?"

Nadal and Federer are clearly the result of superior equipment. The newer players are also following their lead. I say the guy with the most technology next year wins most majors.
