Nice, very nice. Act all offended because someone disagrees with you, and then use that perceived insult as a reason to flame someone. You are not fooling anyone, brah.

Omg my roddick pure drives are not his personal pro stock...I am so suing babolat....noob.

A signature Nadal aeropro drive that has a similar weight to his actual spec ie heavier than the stock would be a great addition to the babolat line up.

Hello Mr. Official, Can you let me know if there is a grip that weights the same as the Skin Feel but is a bit thicker. I am trying to increase the sixe of my grip without changing the weight. Most appreciated.

I have a limited edition 12 pack bag (Roland Garros) that I love, but the middle zipper broke. Any insight on how to get this fixed. My tailor won't do it. It's relatively new, but There aren't any more being sold. I've been using Babolat since 2001 - love the PD! I string at 48 as well.

    Thanks!
    Steve

Woofer grip is 28% thicker and .04 oz lighter. Probably a good place to start. I believe TW has in stock.

Why don't you just add lead to the stock?

Is it too early to divulge any info about the '14 Storm / Control / traditional stick? Is that going to be Tsonga's new racquet? Or one of the young bucks?

Was a defect with the zipper. I tried to email you but it came back to me. I have two photos that show the condition of the bag.

    Thanks, Daniel!

Why not make every racquet 10 Ozs stock...why sell a PDR at all- simple answer is demand and adding that much lead is tedious. The stuff also falls off when you play depending on the amount and where it is added. You make a signature Nadal racquet and people are going to buy it. Also how do you adjust stiffness with lead? I have posted this in other areas of the forum but if you are adding like 20-30 grams of lead to your frame, you may want to see if there is something else on the market that is more to your liking. (exluding those weirdos who lead up to over 12.9 ozs and above yeah I get it they don't make raquets that heavy)

I have a question about the Pure Drive Line, what is going to happen to the Pure Drive Roddick during the next release cycle? Will Andy's signature continue to appear on the propulses as well?

Babolat Official and anyone else that has any insight on this....

I am 20 years old and I'm at the stage in life where I need to figure out what I want to do with my life. Everyone says to do what you love, and I love tennis. Tennis is my passion.

How big is the tennis industry? How do you get into a career with one of these companies like prince, head, or babolat? Is a marketing degree what you need to get into this field?

I currently have no other interests, I'm taking time off school and just working at a job that I don't want to stay at forever.

Start by working at a tennis shop, either stringing, sales, both, or ordering.
After a couple of years, you meet the reps, go to some trade shows, meet the honcho's, and look for a spot recently vacated.
You might need to pack up and move, do some travelling, or work on commision for a while before you fall into something bigger.

Look at tennisjobs.com and protennisjobs.com and carersintennis.com to get an idea of the kinds of jobs out there. You will get a much better idea than from this forum. The last site has different categories and what each is about.

You can contact the Hr department of any company. Call and ask for HR and ask who to submit resumes to. Dont give them your life story and how you REALLY love tennis..etc. Just be pro and get the proper contact info, as they are pretty busy folks.

do you know if it's possible to exchange a babolat racket? I bought a PDGT+ and I'm not satisfied with it. I typically use PSLtd but thought a PD would help me with more power. But yeah it just didn't suit me. Should've demoed it first. Ughh.

That's a good question. Andy has been one of our best ambassadors and we value our partnership. Until something changes, we'll have the PDR.

It is a great industry. And it is really small. Once you are in, you know just about everyone.

I have a degree in history and one in sociology. It's not so much about what you study, but developing the skills to be resourceful, dependable, and add value to a team or whatever the needed role is. And work really hard. People like that.

Check the career sections of the companies you want to work for. Most will post jobs when they have them. Or send HR a cover letter and resume to keep on file.

You'd have to talk to a retailer about that. We don't do any direct to consumer.

I was referring to whatever its successor becomes...the more traditional one you and others here have alluded to, due for release in the next year or so.

Whom???? Babolat USA offices outside Boulder, CO, Wlson, Chicago (FYI they are actively hiring folks for the Racquet sports division.......check out the Wilson website and search for Careers tab)
Tecnifibre USA in Miami, adidas and Nike in Portland area........Prince in New Jersey.

Just FYI working as a sales rep (especially starting out as a newbie) can really really suck........pay fairly low, some companies don't cover all your travel expenses (T&E), many reps have to juggle selling multiple brands.

And of course you must learn it lie out your bum to the lcl shops and swear to them that Nadal or Fed or Murray are going to use the newest and latest stick!!!! Hahahaha.........really overall kinda fun.........I was a rep but dealing with pro players and juniors many years ago and it was fun.......dealing with prima donna pros not fun (pro tennis players some of the BIGGEST aholes on the planet!) and dealing with the wims of juniors and their PARENTS! Ha! Still I wouldn't trade it for anything!

If your in school get a marketing or accounting degree.....many schools do have Sports Marketing majors now and some like the one in Tyler have Tennis specific degrees that can get you internships with sports and tennis companies.

The ritz on the island is one of the nicest hotels I have been to. Amazing place to stay. I love the tennis court garden as well.

You are balling man. I wish I was there this weekend. Have family on the island but they have too much going on this weekend and I didnt want them to worry about me staying with them.

    great post with solid info

a buddy of mine was the rep in our area for babolat, prince, volk and underarmour over the years - definitely not an easy job!

getting sports-related internships during college is pretty key. I didnt
go that route (started out at anheuser busch and then got into media and marketing for tech startups) so thats perhaps thats something Id do differently (though I cant really complain about how my work life is now, being able to get time off whenever to watch/cover pro tennis)

For personal stuff it's the RC or if my wife picks its the Biltmore (just hate he drive up Dixie in the mornings!) this time of year.....for business it's the Hilton downtown or the Conrad on Brickell a few blocks away (I'm a HHonors guy).

Today and tomorrow we are down in Largo at the Hilton.....actually not that great a place. Missing tennis all day today and tomorrow!

Gotta be in San Antonio Tuesday night to check out a Babolat Sensor AND a new TF-6000 for sale............
