Thanks! We're also allocating some to TW and will get some set aside for the forum users.

Good Job Daniel on all your call in?question spots with serial players - I saw several but especially enjoyed Jerzy & Sam's spots =they may have had the best luck with their callers, fans but they both came across as being very funny, natural people. This is difficult when you are getting cold called & filmed at the same time.

Well played to Sam Stosur on this , pity she got knocked out by Victoria Duval but a great win for US tennis. I know she just split with Dave Taylor & they have been working a long time together. Sure she will be back with some better results by the end of the year.

Props to Babolat- pleased to be connected with such a great, fun company.:)

Daniel, in those videos are we seeing the final paintjob of the new racket?

They must be. I think Babolat official wrote somewhere that at least some of the models that will be available are already in production. They look amazing, I must say...

The final cosmetic will incorporate pieces of the test frames. We'll release official name and cosmetic in October.

There are two production runs. The final cosmetic has been decided and will be released in October. It will incorporate parts of the test frames.

I heard that the Pure Storm line will be discontinued next year...
    Is that true?

That racket on the video looks like the head shape of the Pure Storm. I also noticed that the new rackets dont have the active cortex.

If you are looking for more spin, maybe try the poly in the mains and gut in the crosses. Looser tension will give more spin/power but you will not have as much pinpoint control.

RPM team is a softer version of RPM Blast (if you were having arm issues).

    Does that help?

A slightly Blade-influenced spec range, which is a very good thing.

I prefer the new 305 norm compared to the 295.

Also got to know that they have a balance of 32cm and whooping 70RA stiffness. Well, it's not a lot more stiff than what the AeroStorm used to be...

Will the balance point of 32cm or 6pts headlight and the stiffness of 70 apply to all versions of the pure strike? If so that sucks. 70 ra and 6 pts hl sounds like a recipe for TE. Why cant babolat just release a god damn frame with at most a 8 or 9 HL balance and a 60-63 stiffness thats 95-98 with an open string pattern 16-19. Gauranteed it would sell well. They are so obsessed with head heavy stiff frames its unbelievable.

It already exists. That's called a Pure Storm Tour unstrung. Or even an Ltd. if you like the 18/20 pattern.

I assume the 70RA is unstrung, which will come down when the racquet strung. As an example, I believe the unstrung RA for the Pure Storm is 69 according to insert on the frame, and TW gets an average of 63 for the frames they measured strung. If the 70RA is the strung specs, well, I'll probably be passing on frame.

Ya. I hope it's basically a new pure control. That's the only babolat racket I've ever wanted to try. Heavy/solid and stiff with a thinner beam. Sounds good to me.

I hope it sticks around in an even more arm friendly version. I've got the 2012 and GT versions, I love them but have to be careful with what strings I use. I can rip the ball with these racquets but if I play too much with them my arm feels it.

A question for anybody who plays the PD: I'm currently playing with an Aero pro team weighting 314 g strung (4pts HL), do you thing the PD Play is going to be too heavy for me to get used to? I will be really tempted to get one but I am enjoying my current setup....

I don't think you will have a problem. It depends on whether you want to monitor all your play, all the time. Also some players forget that correct stringing choices can help enormously with heavier/lighter racquets. Perhaps also demo the Strike & see how you get on with one of those?

Depends on how much time you have to get used to it?

The PD Play is/can be a great coaching tool and I will be using one but I also switch between Aero Pro Team, Pure Drive & PD107. (I play & test other frames, not just Babolat).

Keep enjoying your current racquet! :)

Have you seen the photos of the Strike? The beam looks pretty chunky to me, certainly not as thin as the Aero Storm Tour :(

Thanks. I just know I won't be able to rests getting one! Being the PD a more powerful frame than the one I am currently using I guess I'll have to string it accordingly. I don't think I need to monitor my game, it's just a case of racquet lust...

A bunch of people on the internet mindlessly pile on hate for no reason other than to be *******s and that the anonymity of the internet helps them get away with little to no consequences.

I hate using babolat rackets (you guys rank last on my list right next to Prince's current line of rackets), but I fully acknowledge that it is personal preference, and if I was teaching someone other than my son, I would give them a babolat (even my daughter).

Your top 2 rackets appeal to an absurdly large range of skills, even though they're technically tweeners. They're the kind of rackets you can blindly throw at someone and expect them to hit decently with.

I also can't fathom people getting arm problems with your rackets (and even using Natural Gut in one of the cases; just skimmed through first few pages). The only explanation I can come up with is improper technique, which is easy to have with such light rackets allowing you to flick whatever joint you want to get the ball to more or less do what you want. Though for those who use a Natural Gut hybrid, using the Gut in the mains helps. For some reason, Gut in the crosses feels useless. I wouldn't call your rackets the arm-friendliest line of rackets, not by a long shot, but I wouldn't call them injury generators either except in the hands of someone with poor technique (which would be the same for any other racket on the market anyway).

Anyways, if this is legit, keep up the great work and ignore the hate (or humor them for 2 seconds then ignore them and move on). It's always great to see companies connecting with their more interested customers.

Now if only someone from Wilson came on so we could take about bringing back the [K]Factor Tour 90s (perhaps with a bit of a softer build).

Pure Drives GT in general were discontinued as the Pure Drive was updated last year. Usual stuff. You still can find some of course. Or look at the new model, link below.
