Of course! Once we get them in the warehouse (slated for May) we'll set up a test with TW.
Sign me up. I am keenly interested in this frame. Best, BHBH
WOW< that makes the Origin your most powerful synthetic string available
Babolat Rackets dominated the scene at ITA division 1 Indoor women's tournament today and in the weekend. Clinching women from Duke, Hanna Mar was also using Babolat frame. you can say Babolat clinched it for Duke.................
thanks! I just filled it out and sent it back. Definitely created a lot of buzz in the clubs in play/teach in with this stick. Everyone had a lot of questions.
we just make the products, the players win the titles
wow.220km/h racket head speed????
the speed of a ball hit 220
Has anyone received the survey from Babolat after testing the Babolat Play? I was a playtester for TW but still haven't received any surveys from Babolat regarding the Play....
you should have received a couple (we have received responses). Have you checked your spam and firewall settings? A notable amount of people had their caught here
shoot me an email if you can't find them and we'll get it sent out
I've filled out at least x2
I have been constantly checking my emails (inbox and spam) and haven't found anything.
My 2nd survey arrived yesterday.
when you guys implement more "Play" racquets will you guys also have extended lengths? such as APD+ or PD+?
email me firstname.lastname@example.org and I can forward it to you
is it possible to hand select an Aeropro Drive that is more flexible than the stated Flex?
Daniel, do you happen to know if a RA reading from one of the old mechanical "Babolat RA Test" devices is directly comparable (as in identical) to that of the modern RDC? I feel it kind of should be, but is it really?
In theory, it should be. But because these are such fined tuned machines, the slightest variation in calibration, state of machine, etc. can change RA readout.
I have replied to you email
daniel you are such anice guy
We measured 3 matched Pure Strike 100 frames, btw - all came in at 61RA (strung). Since the shop also specializes in racket customization I suspect the machine is being put to good use and reasonably calibrated. No RDC to compare to, though.
thanks... I try to be most of the time
Did Babolat drop Andy Roddick or is he testing new frames? Just curious and apologies if this has been covered already.
I think they dropped andy. just as they will just drop Rafa like a rock once he retires............
Companies sponsor players as advertising and Roddick is just not an attractive billboard any longer now he is retired.
He is now paid to be a billboard for Travis Matthews, so why would anyone want mixed messages?
The good thing when Nadal retires is that we won't have to look at Uncle Toni's sponsored head any more.
I wish Babolat would pay him a small sum to wear one of their hats.
Hello Bab lovers! I have a question that I haven't been able to figure out myself
I found a pretty good bargain for 2x PD+ and I bought them with the intention of cutting the handle and making it standard length, as I had read in this same site that Babolat makes all racquets 29in length and then they cut the handle, so PD and PD+ are basically the same racquet.
When I got my hands on them, they turned to be in the light side of the specs. About about 315gr (11.04 oz) strung, stock grip without overgrips. I didn't measure the balance.
I shortened the handle .5in by taking off the butt cap and sawing the pallet, and then put butt and the Syntec back on and griped 2 overs. The result is 315gr again, but a balance of !!31.4cm!!
How can it be that low? Does PD+ have a lighter hoop?
I must admit that the threads I saw about shortening it were from 2006, so the fact that PD and PD+ are the same racquet might not be true anymore.
But even if thats wrong and assuming the sawed handle piece weighted about 5-6 grams that I have replaced with the 2 overgrips (one of them very tight with no overlap), that means that the balance of the original PD+ could be like 1cm off the specs (31.4cm + 1.2cm - same as .5in - = 32.6cm). And that is not taking into account that the weight of the sawed piece would be further away of the center, so it would be even lower.
A bit of a personal question here. How often are you restringing your APD? I guess I'm trying to hint at asking how much life you're getting out of the RPM 17. Thanks!
That's generally why people don't modify their frames by cutting them down without some general racket modification knowledge. The balance will be super screwy now that you've cut a lot off. Your best bet would be to contact someone who is knowledgeable in racket modification to help you through this process.
(Hint Hint: Message the User Geoff He is amazing at it! )
It pops every 8-14 hours.
18 gauge was great but only 2-4 hours.
Well, I have general customization knowledge, or at leat I thought I had. And according to other users who have already done that and to what I had planned, balance shouldn't have changed so drastically.
I've opened a thread (http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=492342) to discuss it because it would cause too much posts here.
Thank you, I will message him
Hi Daniel , I have a stringing question to ask you regarding aero pro series and pure drive series (gt onwards). I know there is a secret "locking system" at 6b mains for the last main to be tighter than usual after releasing the clamp , but is there a video to explain it?
email me and I will forward you on to an expert on this email@example.com
So here's what I'm thinking, Daniel. You pull some strings and get a little batch of those Pure Control 95 and especially 95 Extended frames over to the TW demo court at Indian Wells, where certain TT posters planning on attending IW (ahem) can demo, purchase and post thoughts on these here boards, drumming up the buzz just before the wide release. Boom.
I like your style...but it's an issue of getting them shipped to the US in time. They will go direct to TW.
Are you coming to IW? I've got something you might like to see. Shoot me an email firstname.lastname@example.org
Any chance that there will be a RG/FO or Wimbledon version of the AeroPro Drive+ this year, the plus seems to frequently miss the cut. Like the fact that other than the paint job, they are the exact same spec +/- so that a choice of either makes a great alternative for a second or third racquet (or more)..
It's not like the Wimbledon APD will be black with green letters. Or that it will be extremely similar to the current pj. Or that there will be a tour team bag in black and green, right? >)
Mr. Babolat. I thought Pure Strike didn't come in Extended length. This racket in the picture looks like Extended length to me.??
1. She could have had it done at a customizer.
2. This wouldn't be the first time a college player got "pro stock"
Have a nice day Fedace.
What is the difference between the new Pure Control frames and the previous Pure Storm frames?
sorry, no + frames scheduled for the celebratory cosmetics
I can't tell from looking at a picture, extended is a .5 in difference
Carbon used in head of new pure Control is flexier, changes in swing weights
you got another full day daniel
Is there any news about a new 107 or continuation of the current version?
we continue to offer the Pure Drive 107
107 is staying in! I will continue to push for this one for older players, those that like bigger header rackets that are lighter, easier to use.
There was a rumour, 3 years ago it was going but managed to keep it in.
It is not going anywhere.
New PD versions in 2015.
Crap, I may have to switch to the regular APD if it gets the updated paint for Wimbledon. I'm going to contact my local Babolat dealer and reserve a bag and the Propulse 4's. I'm a Wimbledon fanatic and love the stuff you guys are releasing later this year. The pic's look great!
The design team nailed the RG and Wimbledon collection...pretty much since the Pure Strike they've been serving up aces
And when will we get to see the French Open Aero? I am eaglerly anticipating it.
