Three questions I was hoping you could all help me with:

    1. Is it OK to play with the Babolat Play in a light rain? Is there any way water can get inside?

    2. Anyone have problems bringing a 12 pack as a carry on when flying? It technically is under the max size, just wonder if any has been hassled. I'm flying JetBlue.

    3. Is the Babolat Play 12 pack being released any day now?

    thanks!

Bonour from Babolat-My 14 year old son wants to change from his Wilson Juice to a racquet with more control, more precision, and a high swing weight. He has demoed the Pure Strike 18x20 and loved it. He could generate crazy power and precision when he flattened out his forehand-signature shot. He was still able to coax spin from the 18x20. He is trying the Aeropro Drive and he is not loving like he thought he might. He was thrilled about the PS 18x20. Should he give the Pure Control a try? How about the PS 16x19?

My theory is demo anything he might want to demo... that way he won't find himself second guessing after making an investment in new equipment.

    1. It will stand up to heavy sweat...light rain is questionable and not recommended.

    2. I've had a variety of experiences. I know pro players deal with this all the time. No one is too consistent.

    3. PLAY bag should be early May. Stay tuned for exact date.

Was the bag pushed back? Thought it was coming out this month. How long before these bags come with solar charging stations? Is the research team looking into that? Would be cool to have.

We were trying to have released earlier. Google " LA Port Situation".

We've got some cool projects long term. Stay tuned for a sneak peak at RG.

How does Rafa use the Aero Play over the course of match? Rafa changes racquets sometimes twice a set.

Does the Play software combine stats for 3-4 frames that he switches to?

I was fortunate to grab another Babolat Play and was wondering if it synchs up with my existing account seamlessly or not. I seemed to have lost my sessions on the racquet. It was recognized as new - so I tried to associate it with my existing stick - does that automatically erase the sessions?

Rafa changes rackets at every ball change.

When you download a session, it shows up in the "analyze" section before you "qualify" it: enter score, details, etc.

To merge multiple session (different rackets) you simply drag multiple unqualified sessions over each other to combine and get the whole picture

We know that people of all levels break strings, change rackets, want new strings with new ball, etc. during a match.

You can sync multiple rackets to the same account (it's how the pros and players with multiple racket use PLAY).

You existing stick should already be recognized. The account is the common denominator. The data transferred to the account from any racket that is associated with it.

I'm not sure if any lost sessions are a cause of multiple rackets. I'd call the hotline and talk through your issue in person. They're good: +18773169435

Wow, this is good to know. The broken string issue is one thing we are encountering and the racquet turning off is another. Good to know there is a merge capability. I will string up the other 2 Plays and take them as backups.

Aero Pro without play is same as 2013/2014 version. New APD i presume will first be spotted in november/december this year and a release to the Aus-Open 2016.

My predictions for a new APD is a semi-updated string pattern with a little bit relocated sweet-spot but not as much as the PD, because focus is still spin in the APD.

If I could make a wish it would be to lower the RA and keep it between 66-68 (more like the first cortex version that was a bit more easy on the arm). This frame can not be to soft as it would be difficult to play with for the majority of the buyers

Perhaps it has been amswered in one of the previous pages but I'd like to know more about the forthcoming Pure Strike CTRL. Will it share the mold with the Pure Strike?

Shares a mold with the Storm/Control. Shares a cosmetic with the Pure Strike. Pro players are testing models now. Stay tuned for more info...

Is it going to be more like the Pure Storm or the Pure Control in terms of feel?
How about flex? Is this new frame going to target more traditional players (like the current PC does) or is it going to be positioned between the PC and Pure Strike?

    Thanks.

Sorry but I a little puzzled. The ARP play which cost 300$+ and has a new color pattern isn't it a new APD?...... Cause we already have an APD Play white the 2013 color pattern.

Sorry Daniel for jumping in on your thread.....

The 2015 is the first AeroPro Drive to incorporate the PLAY technology. The 2015 AeroPro Drive PLAY is built into the 2013-2014-2015 APD platform.

There is no AeroPro Drive PLAY with 2013 graphics since the 2015 brought the long awaited release of the PLAY technology on the APD platform. Sorry to say, you are mistaken.

2016 will bring a redesigned / updated AeroPro Drive since Babolat is on a 3 year product cycle with their racquets.

Thank you mate. So I want more opinions between APD and the new pure drive. I have played with APD (liked the lite version more) and I loved the effortless generate of power. I cannot find the new pure drive to test it yet cause it's a new model but from the specifications I am afraid of the stiffenes which is even bigger than APD.....to be honest I noticed lots of vibrations on off balance shots while playing with APD. Some say that new pure drive is even more user friendly to the arm compared to the old pure drives. I am currently playing with the old ig prestige s which no issues which replaced my 2012 blade which was heavy for my arm. With Prestige which is 1gr heavier than my blade my arm feels like breathing again. I love the feeling of APD but I am afraid on the long run if any elbow issues will occur.....? And of course I cannot decide between APD or pure drive... Should a demo of the old pure drive will give me a glimpse of the 2015 model ?

If you demo a 2012 PD, here are a few of my observations.

For me, the 2015 feels softer vs the 2012 and in particular on frame hits. Yet, the string bed feels like I'm hitting with a stiffer racquet where I can feel increased pocketing and dwell time by the strings giving way to the stiffness of the racquet. Yes, identical string and tension were used. BTW, I'm in my 50s and the 2012 PD strung @50lbs with Gosen OG Sheep healed my chronic tennis elbow (non-tennis related cause).

The biggest difference is the 2015 comes around noticeably faster vs the 2012. My partners have noticed noticeable increase in topspin and visavis for me when I exchanged racquets with my partners.

FWIW, the Babolat PLAY Pure Drive data shows I hit the ball consistently in the center of the racquet (below the 2015 FSI hitting spot). My technique score is an 88 average. I thought it important to note that I am not contacting the ball where the majority makes ball contact.

You noted liking the APD Light. You may want to demo the 2015 Pure Drive Team.

I try to post here my question:
i would ask if there is a different between the Pure Storm LTD GT with the black bridge and the other with red bridge: is it only a different cosmetic or or there is some slight difference between the rackets?
    Thanks.

    Please help!

I just purchased a new pair of BPM shoes in the USA and was told to go here - http://www.babolat.us/registration - and all I get is a error page.

How do I register for the 6 month warranty. The store said there are no longer warranty cards shipped with the shoes.

    Please advise, thanks.

That doesn't seem to work...I just get a message saying 'press 1 for Babolat Play support'...and then a mailbox.

You're selling the new shoes to everyone with no system to claim the warranty that you advertise?

Or do I just send the shoes back to the address that TW has listed on their warranty page? (I didn't buy them from TW).

The shoes include a warranty card. If you lose that, all warranty returns are facilitated through ANY authorized Babolat retailer (TW is one). It does not need to be the store you purchased it. You will need proof of purchase within 6 months for a return (receipt, credit card statement, etc.).

I was talking to our pro about the string job above and he said, no, that's in Canadian measuremenrts. So the 40-42 tension should be what in American weights? I thought he showed me the tension on the stringing machine but maybe I'm wrong.

The last two pairs that I received from TW didn't include a warranty card, so maybe someone isn't putting them in there.

Different frames/molds. I would suggest demoing.

in the very simplest of terms:

    Aero = spin/power

    Pure Drive = power/versatility

    Hi Daniel

there is a thread on this forum which shows the inside of the handle of the 2015 Pure Drive. It clearly shows two raised sections which would appear to be foam filled.

    http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/showthread.php?t=526801

Can you tell me whether those raised, foam-filled sections are a new feature of the 2015 Pure Drive or not.

My theory is that this is a new feature which contributes to the increased comfort/ dampened feel of the 2015 frame versus the 2012, as reported by others on these boards. Can you either confirm or deny that theory?

What? Canadian tensions? I've been stringing for years and never heard that lol. 40-42LBS is just a low tension for stringing.
