That Yonex RQ 700 looks sweet, but is that really what it looks like? The beam looks a lil thick.

sweet sticks, but there HAS to be some specs to consider buying these frames.
The "rd-7" frames look interesting, but are they 28' like Monica probably played with, or are they standard? (head size, weight etc.?

    Unstrung weight: 12.2 ounces
    Length: 27.25 inches.

Please note that spec info will be very limited on these racquets. On some models, specs may vary from stick to stick as they were customized for pro use and the player's preferred spec may have changed or racquets may have been prepared while the player was still searching for the right spec.

Unfortunately I'm looking for one mint(10/10) because I'm toying with the idea of collecting old Yonex racquets. Sorry Ronaldo  Hopefully TW has or is getting them soon. :(

I don't know what to get now, I've pretty much decided that I am going to get at least one vintage racquet. I'm not sure which one though. I can get, anything at TW, a POG OS used at Wimbledon, or a POG Mid. Both POGs would be four-stripe. I would have to get the Mid from here though, probably wanted section. The OS I might be able to get locally, if he still has any that is.

Any advice would be very appreciated,
    Volt

I doubt, knowing about Pete's previous hesitation (read: refusal) to switch racquets that he's actually switched to the 90. I'm betting it's a paintjob.

TW, You have a typo on the Yonex RD-7 paint job racquet. in the listings you have the racquet under the paint as the RD TI-380 and then in description as the RQ Ti-380. The correct name for the racquet is the Yonex RQ-380.

Ooh, la-la-lah, the fire engine red holographic glow paint job of the RD-7 is my all-time favorite for a racket and this one looks even SPICIER!

I think they gave it a higher gloss, higher quality, paint job because it was a prototype racket?

Does it play like the RQ-380? It would seem to be a pretty powerful racket judging by the beam width, and I wouldn't want to go any more power than the RD-7ish level personally.

I tried that with the Cyborg 2700, and despite the racket being great; the power level always felt just a hair too much no matter what I tried.

Anyone have an idea on how the black/orange Fox plays? I much prefer an isometric head shape in general, and love the cosmetics.

How stiff and powerful is it would be the main thing.

    • Is there a link on the home page to the Bosworths?
    • The Snauwaert Graphite Experimental has 'wood' listed as its composition. I assume that's incorrect.
    • Shouldn't the Snauwaert Golden Mid be in the 'Wood' category?
    • Also, the Golden Mid is listed as being 72 sq. in. It looks larger.
    • Has Brian Gottfried declared bankruptcy?

Deuce: "Has Brian Gottfried declared bankruptcy?"

Too funny. I'll add that I had no idea that Snauwaert was moving heaven and earth R & D-wise to satisfy Brian's appetite for standard-sized woods. His open-throat wood mid looks choice, though, as does the Golden. Vitas had his own Snauwaert open-throat wood mid, differing from the BG version in that the colorful stripes around the open-throat were blue shades, not red.

Gotta say, nothing in this batch really, really grabbing me, but between the anticipation of the "reveal" and the possibility for more, I's comin' back.

    Question for TW Staff:

What are the head sizes on the Yonex frames? Are they all 120?

For the Snauwaert Golden Mid, it the product description is says:
[FONT=verdana, arial, helvetica]"each racquet comes with a size 5 grip and an unstrung weight of 370 grams and a balance of 325mm (0.7" head light). "

But in the spec table on the right, it says it's 352 grams strung and 7 pts headlight strung.

    Which is correct?

Perhaps the spec table is stock, the actual custom specs are posted in the description.

There was some incorrect info listed in the spec tables when we first went live with these and it was removed. The specs within the descriptions are correct.

The headsizes on the Yonex racquets vary from model to model.
