    Chris,

What is the true diff between these two brands? There is anecdotal info concerning the consistency of the gauge and the cosmetic blemishes - but unlike tonic, the gauge for Professional is reported as constant.

    SunDog,
I've used Championship a lot, but it's been awhile since I've hit with the Professional Bow Brand Gut, so as far as playability, I'm unable to give a fair comparison. However, I will check with Bow for an official response to this question.

Here's a response I received from Caroline Clark, Director of Bow Brand in England,

"...the only difference between Championship and Professional is aesthetics. There is absolutely no difference in quality or strength - our quality control standards are particularly high..."

I just received the same info from Bow Brand. According to them, new manufacturing processes have increased the quality of their gut resulting in more Championship gut making it into Professional packaging.
