Im with you but he really love football he knows all the people being drafted stats all of it, drives me nuts , and the fighting system he's doing is brutal on the body and he loves that he just gets that look in his eye "you know lights on no one home" so football and all that punishment looks fun to him i guess.

sorry Brad, but JW is hitting a ton now a days ,those slicing and dicing is just an addition ... just ask some of those who watched him play the Woody Hunt and Fullerton 18s... he was banging with Dennis Lin... and no one is hitting bigger than Dennis Lin in SoCal Jr.s

no I don't think so,but this kid is impressive .. he's a Stanford boy next year and they are already stacked and most likely will be top 5 in the NCAA by the end of the season ... go watch in a couple of weeks and tell me ..

hey for most part will just have to see what happens , the Jrs is not really our goal and what he does there doesnt meen much to us its only a place to develop his game and see what we have to work on as for points and player there just part of something were passing through but were not overly concerned about them !

i was 15 and he was 11 but there was obviously a big difference size wise and power wise in the match....deit couldnt handle my serve and that ended up hurting him.....3 and 0 isnt really close at all....johnny is a top player who would beat deit pretty easily just because of pure experience on him and size

KC i remember are losses more then our wins and you did win, there were boys in that tourny that hit their serve as hard as you but it didnt stop him from getting to the finals , as for JW he is doing great as for size deit may be a little taller not sure, so the size may favor deit and the experience will go to JW but like i said will see ,he will be playing the 16's to work on things and as we run into these guys will have to see the out come.

JW is not that tall ,I think he's only about 5'9" at most.. when they played, that was JW 2nd ever tennis tournament,I'm sure Deit has played well before JW ever started doing Jr tennis...,so experience wise, they may be the same,he just has more wins and loses because he's played a lot more tournament lately..

Im sure it will be a great match if they play , Deit has always been on a lax schedule so experience wise everyone has and upper hand on him and i think its just when he steps on the court he can be a danger to everyone cause he seems to step it up and he has all the shots and now hes putting on size its something will have to see. but once again he's much younger then who hes coming after.

first of all, this statement is absolutely true. brad please dont be delusional about this. deit just lost in straight sets to the 85. johnny is top 10. i dont care how bad deit played, johnny woulda killed tht guy on his worst day. so if deit were really as good or close to johnny he coulda beat him. please dont be delusional and say he could beat johnny and dominate the 16s

i saw Johny Wang lost to Horea last year and Deit beat Horea this year ,,so what will be your reasoning Johny has improved and Horea has not? Or is it chemistries play different ways amongst players ,, not delusional we have a plan we have been doing and now were making a move will there be some bad matches, off days sure but we know what he's capable of and maybe you'll get to play him soon yourself. but overall will just have to see

there is one flaw in ur whole deit beat horea therefore he can beat johnny theory. the key word "last year" i believe we are not saying deit could beat johnny last yr. i think were saying deit cant beat johnny NOW. johnny beat marcos (another top 10 in the 16s) 4 and 2. do i have to remind u 1) what deit is ranked or 2) who deit just lost to? if johnny can beat Marcos, who is top 10 why do u think deit could beat johnny if deit is in the 40s?

i understand how you see things, deit was 125 before fullerton and 47 after and will continue his climb just watch , if these guys could over whelm him with power i would agree with you Deit has the size at 12 to match them as for the area deit needs to work on will be return of serve(were already on it) other than that the rest of his weapons can match the guys in the top 10 im sure you can see that you have watched him hit! He does lack the experience but give him a few tournys

Yea but basically the top 25 in the 16's are in a different league than the 25-75...the Preliminary 16 draw at Fullerton was quite weak most of the top 16's were playing 18's or held out to this weekend

I'm gunna assume ur talkin bout south bay not fullerton. anyways lets not generalize. 1)there were some weak ppl who qualified 2) the thing bout 25-75 is completely false in every way shape and form. im 34 i have wins over guys in the 20s i beat the #18, digiulio (unfortunately it was in an 18s tourny) and have gone 3 with multiple ppl in the 20s. i would agree if u said top 15 but top 25 is in no way a different league.

i agree....deits a solid player right now but i dont see any weapon right now and none that are really being developed....hes got solid groundstrokes, a decent serve for his age, and solid volleys....wheres that one stroke thats gonna make him who he is tho?

i like you So Cal , he has the weapons thats why he able to dictate so many of the rallys against these bigger guys and when he decides to pull the trigger especially off the back hand side it doesn't come back. 2 weapons he has ive seen him use so well his movement and mental although i must admit it did break down in that last match. So Cal the racket hes playing with is new give him some time he's gone from 93 to 100 sq in over the last month and i know its been a big adjustment for him. but will just have to see!!

well we'll see soon enough,Johnny has to play the guy Deit lost to... in the main draw this week end...

Deit beating Horea doesn't mean he can beat Johnny,Johnny has beaten Horea tons of times and easy too, anyone kid can lose to any kid once in a while but the creme always raises ... there is no such thing as an indirect win.. you cannot say 'I beat player "A" and play "A" beats player "C" so that make me better than player "C"...

Johnny is Johnny,he has good wins and a lot of bad loses , he not like Marcos who hardly ever has a bad loses.. Johnny not only beat Marcos(who is the #1 in So Cal 16s) he beat him twice ,back to back.. .. Marcos doesn't throw matches away like other 16 year olds who may have a high ranking, same with Dennis Nguyen .. these 2 guys are solid performers almost all the time...

yes well no one is quite there yet.. I've followed a few top ranked kids and their improvements from last year to this year has really been awesome... just like Kosakowski last year..

well I don't see any weapons in a bunch of 16s year olds ,

"wheres that one stroke thats gonna make him who he is tho?"--- how about Johnny ? is it one or is it many? or is it his feet? just like D.Nguyen ? not everyone is lucky enough to have a big serve like you KC...LOL.. for me ,you can keep your serve, just give me your memory...,please...:)

didnt you say this guys is better then his ranking and that he played unbelievably good that day?? one thing i have seen is most guys playing deit seem to really step it up because i dont think they want to lose to him (12 yr old) so you are right deit can not have a bad day or this can be the result. but will see ,hopefully you will draw him in the next tourny and can give a real good critique on what you deal with .

    OK now it's my turn.

He's 13 not 12. You aren't 21 are you so why continue to hide behind reality. Second, if he is that good and this KC kid has such a big serve he would have the knowledge of how to neutralize that serve and force him to play instead of being served off the court. Based on some of the KC posts he's a really bright kid and is not hoping for a big future in tennis, this naturally leads me to believe that Deiton should have capitalized on the 2nd serve as the 1st is likely very inconsistent.

Wins and losses over mid to low level 16 year olds are low level wins and low level losses. So in the end who cares.

Last and most important, I've seen all your videos and I know a touring pro coach that had a player in the draw at the Carson quali. Deiton had NO CHANCE, as this coach stated what he saw was and I quote, "the kid is a ball stroker not a ball striker. He has nice clean shots but no weapons or anything that looked like it would be a weapon". According to the coach, he was being toyed with by the opponent who seemed to be "bored" so he was trying different things but in the end closed out every game. So please pull your head out and face the music. Football no, basketball maybe, certainly baseball or lacrosse

My suggestion is develop plan B, in case the game leaves him behind. Now I'm really outta here.

Thank you!! Totally agree. As you said and I said earlier. You must have weapon(s) to succeed. That is what deit lacks. Brad: I would love to play deit in a tournament. It would be a fun match. When is his next tournament

looking at your draw for this weekend, you have a good chance in getting to the finals... your first round match is tough, and I don't really know how good Mika is now since he's been away for so long on injury leave... GL anyways..

thought you would show up soon ,good to have you back, my wife watch the match she kept the stats to many "ads" through out to say he was cruising and doing what he wanted also all the frustration after long rallys he lost doesnt speak of boredom ,she did say the kid being a lefty deit struggled to shut it down , and once again you were there and it was here say from a coach who's top kid is losing long rallys to a 12 yr old. will just have to see! good to have you back

    Football, no.
I just found a long lost in-law and her son down in Tampa, Florida.
Scary freshman playing offensive lineman in H.S. Size 13 shoe 6ft #260
NINTH GRADER mind you- His mom says he has that big since he was 13.....

    Try baseball- pitching
A good California H.S. will carry 6 -7 pitchers/combo players, and a College will have 10 guys- Can you make him left handed as well? that would help.

    Continued luck in any case.

What is this, can you translate into English instead of gibberish, from gibberland.

Also I wasn't there, the coach is a touring coach of a touring pro playing the Challengers and Futures tour. The coach is very knowledgeable in this area. He clearly stated that Deitons opponent was "toying" with him and Deiton has NO, NONE, ZERO weapons. He is a "ball stroker" NOT a "ball striker".

    Go to plan B

come on man don't leave,it's very entertaining here to see all the non sense post that people put up(including me:oops:) you just gotta keep an open mind to all these crazies... Brad is not a bad guy,he just loves his son too much as all good parents do.. and it's great to have a dream, dreams makes life more interesting and the journey makes it all worthwhile...

Agreed 100% the entertainment value is certainly worth the price of admission. It's not so much that I think he is a bad or good guy for that matter, or ??? the love of his child. I would never question the love a parent has for their child.

Nevertheless, as I read these posts and the bantering that went back and forth it made me realize that he is actually delusional. I hate to say it but the coach that was there that I spoke with and showed him this dialog said "I remember that kid, a very tall lanky kid with NO weapons at all, NONE", no developing serve, slice was weak at best, otherwise a "ball stroker, not a ball striker". When I pressed him further he said the opponent was "bored" and would work on a couple of things then close the game in a tidy fashion therein lies the score count.

I think part of Brad's bantering is that he,being an ex-boxer, he has that 'never-say die" attitude and I think that is great, but as some realist may see it as delusional ... I love his attitude and if he can instill that into his kid,I have a feeling or I should say "I know", his kid is going make it,in what ever he wants to pursue in life,,tennis ,football or being a doctor.. if Deit was my kid I would never get him to pursue tennis as a career,it's just too tough to make it big... I've seen too many who did that and never achieved anything close to their dreams and wasted away... but sometimes not knowing is a blessing in disguise ..

and as for Deit not having any weapons, come on, the kid is only 12 or 13.. Sampras didn't look like anything at that age,too with Nadal and Roddick ,ect... he still has plenty of time to develop anything he wants..with guys like us jeering Brad,I'm sure he'll find ways to help his son become better as time goes on...

Uhhh.. re-read article on Aggasi just yesterday (at 13 yrs.) Beating the crap out of top 16 year olds- period.
The article said he would just start walking toward the net, step by step returning everything until the point was lost by opponent.

    Mickey Rourke's character in DINER-
"You have to have dreams, if you don't, all you got left is nightmares".

I honestly thought Brad had "handlers" that told him to stay off this site, as it couldn't help or produce anything useful by engaging in this stuff. Maybe all the crazy kid-athlete "investors" went the way of the 11 trillion the economy has dropped.

We are not in the Sampras Jr., era anymore. Seriously, I don't want to banter the merits of ball striking or weaponry at an early age. He is or will be 13 in a matter of weeks as one poster stated earlier. Here you will see vids of a ball striker, Brads kid based on his vids and the report I received from the coach is that he is a very nice ball stroker period no more no less. Watch and see what the future of tennis holds and it's not little BB.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cskpoBoQ0xc

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxmRUhUdXDs

Yes, the kid is 14 in this video and yes Brads child wonder has plenty of time but if he was on the "right" path you would see it, not in tournament wins but in more obscure areas, things that are not quantified by results.

True, guys like Boluda and Tomic were brilliant even at 11,12,13.

With the world pumping elite athletes into tennis like never before, the odds of a boy sneaking up on the tennis world are pretty slim.

Mike Agassi said a few years ago the he would not let his young boy play tennis today, the odds have changed dramatically now that the entire world is involved.
