Wow, this is going to be something special, I cannot wait. I think Klahn in three very very tough sets. Klahn needs to serve well and control the points with his forehand, because if he doesn't then Monfils will serve well and control the points with his forehand. Any other thoughts?

Is a triple rainbow possible and would it take Nadal or Roger more licks to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop

Not sure why people think Klahn has a chance. Biiig difference between top D1 players and top ATP players.

John McEnroe for one. Took those guys a lot of time to get their level up to par, however.

An NCAA champ can go on to BECOME a top player, but winning it doesn't mean you ARE a top player.

Some dude ranked 792 against Monfils should be an epic, as in epic fail...

Wow, Klahn has one of the greatest forehands right behind Safin, Nadal, Kafelnikov, Sampras, Dimitrov, Berankis, Nishikori, Sweeting and the likes. Tremendous.

I was hoping we would keep this discussion clear of confessed drug addict felons who married into other similar ongoing international criminal enterprise families. But I do agree with you Klahn has much better technique spin and penetration on the forehand.

Klahn getting schooled by Monfils so far. Klahn may end up becoming a solid ATP player some day, but (take note Fedace), he'll quickly find out that he's not near this level yet.

Many wears hats as they act like headbands, catching the sweat. They also help with poorly placed indoor/night lighting.

    Strange commentating

Klahn is having lots of trouble reading Monfil's serve

This is not good, Klahn is just putting on a jock show for the local crowd now instead of winning the match.

I think it's a respectable showing considering Klahn is ranked around #800 and Monfils is a top 10 talent.

    6-3, 6-2 Monfils

    - -

The ATP site has Klahn listed at 6'3 but he was at least 3" shorter than Monfils who is 6'4

Monfils is a very good athlete, he played well, and Klahn did not pull himself together for the occasion. What else can we say. There's nothing more to say.

Thanks for the score, Bud. I've been looking for the Raonic-Blake score (I was having computer trouble and missed the match) but I think I have to go to LiveScore; I don't see it in the match thread.

Klahn is obviously able to compete with top 20 players. He took a set off Querrey on the US Open and you definitely wouldn't expect an 800 ranked player to put up a decent fight against Monfils. Trust me on this one, Bradley's career is just getting started :D

I did some undergrad work on the roof pendants in Yosemite... now I'm just grateful there were no rainbow guys there then or I wouldn't have finished any of it. Look at that swoon worthy hair...
