I'd rather have short laces than long laces. The laces on my propulse 2's are way too long.

This is interesting as the laces on every pair of Nike shoes I've ever had are way too long. I have had to either replace them with shorter ones or tie them in 4 nots to take up the extra.

The laces on those shoes are VERY short. I measured the laces a while ago and it seems like they give the same length of lace for shoes size 5.5-15.0.

It's weird, Nike cross trainers and running shoes never have the short lace problem. With Ballistec and Vapor VI, I had to get longer laces. The Air Zoom Tennis Trainer laces have more than enough length, but that is partly because the strap takes up some loop space.

Yeah, they are short. I shopped all the regular dept. stores like Wal-Mart trying to find some long enough. They stopped at 54". Fortunately I found some 63" laces at my dedicated running store. It sucks if you want the same color on some of the colorways. I had to get black on my red and black Cage II's but fortunately I like that better than the original white laces so all's good.

Noticed this too on my White/Charcoal Breathe Cage 2's. Hate that because I can't find charcoal colored laces to match to replace.

So for those of you that are looking for these 54" or 63" laces, what size shoe do you wear. I wear 10.5 and have had to replace the Nike laces with shorter ones, that are 45" and even those are just a bit on the long side. I think about 42" would be perfect for a double knot and not too much extra lace hanging then.

I wear size 10.5 or 11. With the laces that came with the shoes originally I had about two inches of lace left on each side to tie the shoe. I laced the shoe up to the top holes.

Thanks for the responses. It must just be me then. When I tie my shoes the sides of the laced area almost touch when I them sinched down for play. Maybe that is why they seem so long. Anyone else have the two sides almost touching?

Not sure if they are really that narrow but I tie them so tight that I basically can't feel my toes. If I don't do this my toes run into the end of the shoes and it becomes a problem.
