I'm on the lookout for new shoes because my barricade IV's are starting to rip up and lose cushioning. I'm really interested in trying out the nike Breathe line. I've heard good things about them, especially the Breathe Free II's and the Cages. I'm not sure which one to get though. I'm leaning towards the BF2's because they're cheaper and I don't really like the colors that are out for the Cages now. :D

Can someone compare both of them? Especially the durability issues.

Also, should I get the same size as I wear with my barricade IV's?

Or should I just stick with the Barricade IV's? Or maybe wait until the Barricade V's?

    Thanks.

The cages have more room in the toe box, the breathes have less. The cages have are more durable and have more cushioning. The breathe 2's to me are the best shoe nike has ever made, if they are a 10, then the cages are a 9-9.5, and the only reason i say that is bc the bf2's can be worn without the shoe laces being tied, and as a coach/player that is a huge bouns.

I wear a 9.5 in the B4's and the BF II's. The BF II's seem to have more room in the forefoot area. If the BF II's don't seem snug you can always through on a pair of thorlo socks with them. I have had thoughts of trying them in a size 9.

Street, i am same exact size between barricade II and BFII, which is 12. I think the barricade 4 fit me in 12 also. So i would go same size...

Those are some nice looking shoes. I think that colorway is the best one remaining from the Breathe Free II line. Good Choice.....they are what I was gonna buy before the cages came out.

I just got mine also. Size 10.5. I got them in the green, I hated all the team colors. I wish they still had the blue and yellow.

Are the Cages better than the Breathe Free II's?
Because i could also order the Cages.
But i think the colors of the Cages are not that great.

I've always wondered why Nike designed two colorways that look so much like each other and then released both of them around the same time?

I couldn't decide between the two so just ended up buying the bottom one because the Nike swoosh wasn't as glaring.

and the bottom is 30 bucks cheaper too. the major differences between these 2 is the clear plastic thing on the mid sole of the shoe, and the inverted colors of the soles. I bought the bottom pair simply for the price and it think the all white sole looks better.

No, BOTH are actually the same price ($89.99) since they are both previous season's colorways. The new season's colorways (like the team colors) are $110, which makes the older colorways $20 cheaper, not $30 cheaper. But like I said, price was not the deciding factor for these two with the black meshs and red swooshs because they were the same price.

I think that the Cages look better than the Breathe Frees. I currently waer the Barricade IVs and I jope to switch to either the Vapor IVs or the Cages. After looking at this thread, I might add the Breathe Frees to my list of possibilities.

after owning both i feel like the BFII's are more stable and generally better, but generally similar, so just pick the color/price that works for you

I agree that BF II's are better than the Cages.

BF II's are more comfortable and better designed (in terms of performance) than the Cages.

Cages dug into my feet (and everybody that I knew who tried the Cages, including the owner of my local tennis shop), and BF II's never did so.

Personally I think BF II's are more wider than the Barricade II's, contrary to everyone else, but I need to wear half size bigger in Barricade II to fit my feet, so I can't argue with my feet.
