So, the flash on my camera (power shot a2000IS) is broken. It got hit by a tennis ball at the courts and i was wondering if there was any way to fix the flash?

any cracks in the casing? if not, you can probably repair it if you are extremely experienced in taking complicated electronics apart, and putting them back together.

You can also send it into canon, but i have a feeling the repair will be around half the cost of a new camera.

Quote here costs around 85, there's also a broken one on **** that costs around 28 right now "as is" for parts, if you really feel handy. The bulb will likely take a LOT of work to get to and replace, though. Unless you have a manual and are very good with your hands, i'd probably pass on this one, and just pick up a new camera if the flash is extremely important to you.

New camera is probably the way to go because i think the focus is out too. Hopefully i can get one before the USO next year. Thanks DD you have given me great technical advice.
