    Bryan Brothers go to Prince

Heard today from the Prince rep that the Bryan brothers will be debuting the 03 Black in July. After the debacle with Blake I hope this signing turns out well.

It seems doubtful to me as well. But assuming they are it's not a big loss for Wilson. After all, how many people have gotten hot for a racquet because of either Brayn?

Fact is a fact because there is proof, evidence, verifiable confirmation. At the moment you have not provided proof. You are also new so you do not yet have credibility.
I did not write this to tell you that you are wrong, I wrote this to explain why people would find it difficult believing you at this time.

Here is the Bryan Brothers from a last week at Queens Club still with their Hyper Pro Staff 5.0 with the NPro Open Paint Job. I don't know if they will be switching in July to Prince or not. But I would bet that the Bryans will still be using their Wilson at Wimbledon.

I can understand the credibility issue. I guess I would too. They will not be switching until shortly after Wimbledon. The date I was specifically told by my Prince rep. is July 15. I suggest if you need proof, you contact your nearest Prince rep. since they have all been told. That shouldn't be too hard for some of you. Especially the sarcastic ones.

This just in, Roger Federer goes to Prince. He will be sporting their new O3 White MS. Ask your Prince rep.

I sure dont find it illogical the Bryans either changed sponsors or Wilson bagged them and they picked up another sponsorship. It's not like so many people are runnng out and buying what the Bryans' use.

Why do people automatically assume that when a pro changes racquet brands, it was their choice and not the choice of the sponsoring Company? Contracts are not unidirectional.

Well I was going to buy a N95, because I own the world in Virtua Tennis 3 with Taylor Dent, I seem to do pretty well with the bryans as well so maybe I should give their new raquet a go

I won't worry about the Bryans, but the O3 Black was the rumored frame that James Blake would have used with Prince. As an O3 user I want to see a Hyper Pro staff player make the switch, it should be interesting.

To back up whoever started this, I heard the same from the Prince rep today. Don't know when their contract with Wilson is up. But I also heard O3 Black... Maybe they will use them at Wimbledon. No pics because as of today, their contract with Wilson is not up, so its impossible to have pics.

And I saw the O3 Black today, pretty cool. We got the new O3 Ozone(its the exact same O3 Red with new paint), O3 Black, and 03 Speedport Tour as well.

The 03 Ozone is almost exactly the same as the 03 Red. It's the same mold, but the weight is slightly different and the power level is a little bit different. Otherwise they are the exact same racquets.

I was told by the rep it was just a new cosmetic with a new name. As for those who don't think I'm credible, I don't care. I don't have tons of posts because I have better things to do with my days, and this isn't a highly credible message board. There are hundreds of people with hundreds of useless, stupid, or wrong posts. However, I do work for one of the 5 largest tennis distributors, I do play D1 college tennis, and I am an MRT. I would like to know if BKK BOY can say that.

They may be hostile, but come on. The guy responded in a sort of hostile way. He "understands" the credibility issue, yet he is stubborn and refuses the accept the fact that we don't believe him without proof. No article as someone else mentioned. 5 posts. I'd be surprised if more than a few people DID believe him.

post #3 lost the guy's credibility. post # 2..4 i think just makes the dude sound egotistical.

If this does turn out to be true, kudos to you, but I'll still remember you as the guy who started off on this board by posting a statement with nothing to back it up, and then insisted that you were absolutely right, again with nothing to back it up.

To Lindsay: If this isn't a highly credible message board, then stop posting here. Simple enough.

To better explain myself- This can be a highly credible message board. I just think its funny that some of you judge someone's credibility by how many times they have posted here. Not the best way to find out credibility, IMO. There are people here with loads of expertise, and probably more without. I hope to find some information for you guys to prove this Prince theory. I will try to get some literature on it at work tomorrow. I understand your doubt, but I wouldn't think a Prince rep would make this up and tell it to more than 1 person.

By they way, please stop to me as a dude, for I am not.

Pr0DiGy, I don't believe them right now either, and most of your points are absolutely correct. My point is that this is no reason to lower the intelligence of everyone on this message board via posts like the following...

He insists he's right; we don't believe him without proof. Which has been promised as forthcoming. End of discussion. Nothing more (intelligent) can be added to this thread. What irked me was the multitude of people mocking the OP and acting immature. Even assuming the OP is ludicrous (which right now, I'm inclined to reserve judgement on until later), there is no reason that we can't be civil.

I guess I could see how my second post comes across as arrogant. Still it is true. There is no way to post "proof" at this point. The Prince reps were just told of it today. I guess I just wanted to get the word out right away.

I may have come across as arrogant, but I am right and I could care less if anyone is offended by the tone of my response even though I do see how someone could be put off by it. Yet, I chose to respond to this, so I guess I do care. Perhaps just to eventually say "I told you so". Who knows. TS. They will be using Prince racquets, and no matter what any other disbeliever wants to post you will find out I am correct.

I guess my only proof, is for ANYONE to call your local Prince rep. That isn't too hard. Just do it and report back what you hear. Once a few more people report what I stated is true, we can put this behind us.

O3 technology is not something you can just paintjob to and it's a very different experience so it's hard to believe anyone who is ranked so high, singles or doubles would go to them at the prime of their careers. (See Blake.)

I'll play devils advocate. Wilson doesn't really promote the Bryan's. Prince recently lost Blake. In need of a high profile American male to promote the O3 technology they approach the Bryans about using their product. They hit with the sticks and like them. They sign with Prince after the Wilson contract, and get more money and exposure in the process. The Bryans and not young guys any more so I'm sure they would jump at a lucrative contract. Seems feasible to me.

Also Goldstein has had good results with the new Prince rackets, he's a fellow Stanford guy. Not sure if there is any connection there.

Anyone know the head size and the string pattern of this new rac from Prince? I hope it is a 95 with 16X18. Tired of seeing Prince making those huge racquets such as their new line......110 sq in....

Here is what I got on the 03 Speedport Black. 16x19. 27 in. 10.8 oz. 305 grams. Firm. 295 swing weight. 100 sq. in. power level of 975. Tapers top to bottom from 23 to 24 to 22.

Here is the cool part. It has an insert so you can make it play traditional with normal holes for the crosses, or leave the insert out and use it with the side speed ports.

For a third time, this is what you can do to help your ability to decide without pictures. Call your local Prince rep. and hear what he/she has to say and then decide if you believe him/her. Believe it or not, that is a form of proof. Perhaps not 100% proof, but definately admissable.

right on... marketers are (willingly) brainwashed to repeat something
like that like a broken record...

tennis racquet makers marketing has same level of credibility as a

    Voltron,

I remember, a little while ago, a new user said that Mauresmo and Llubijic were changing to Head. No-one (myself included) believed them because they didn't have any 'proof'. End result is, we were wrong.

Not saying this story is true but, it very well could be. Unless someone here happens to work for, or be, one of the parties involved (Prince, Wilson, the Bryan bros) then no-one is in a position to say the OP is definitely incorrect.

As for 'proof'. Can I just remind everyone that proof only exists after the fact. If the Bryan's are switching (are = in the future) then there won't be any press release or any pictures YET (especially if they're still under contract).

I, for one, do believe that the Wilson reps are telling the truth when they say that Federer is using a real K90, especially after they've admitted that he never used a real nCode 90.

Obviously that quote has something wrong with it. How could Nadal lose to himself? I get your point though. It might suck for newer members, but post count does count towards credibility. Obviously, someone who has posted here many times and has already established his/her credibility won't require proof; we know they have been correct many times before and we are willing to believe them simply by their reputation. However, this poster has no reputation and almost no posts. If he told all of us Federer was switching to the Big Bubba, we all doubted him, and he acted the way he did in this thread, and ended up correct, I still wouldn't think any better of him.

Just restating/clarifying my point: If you're right about this, great for you. If you're wrong, sucks for you, your reputation on this board is going straight down the sewers. I could care less if you were right or wrong, I'm just annoyed that you absolutely point-blank refuse to accept our doubt as to your credibility.

Are you kidding me? What is wrong with you? Look at post #12 and #24. Both acknowledge that I DO UNDERSTAND THE CREDIBITLITY ISSUE. I WOULD IF I WAS IN YOUR SHOES TOO. So please think about what you're typing when you say that I absolutely point-blank refuse to accept our doubt as to your credibility. At this point it is you who is losing any credibility by what you type.
