Just watched the Bryan brothers doubles match last night and looks like they switched AGAIN. I wonder what they like about the Rebel team over the Ignite team?

They are supposed to be using the Rebel. The Ignite Team is discontinued, so they needed to switch models for their sponsorship.

I haven't seen any images of their new stick, but if it's a 16 x 18 string pattern we're looking at just a different paint job of the Ignite Team to that of a Rebel Team.

If they are using an 18 x 20 string pattern, then they probably actually made the move to the Rebels.

My money is on a paint job change only.

Yea, I just watched their AO match from yesterday and they are green. I looked on TW and they have them listed as using the Rebel team.

In the Prince catalog, they're using regular Rebels...

haven't seen images of them playing yet. Now I'm curious.

The head shape is not the Rebel's and the throat is different imo.

That's exactly what it is - it's a Rebel PJ of their Ignite Team Pro from last yr. Extended length with the tight string pattern. Since the Ignite line was dropped Prince pushing the Rebel.

I thought they were always using rebels b/c they've always used an 18x20.

Prince did a totally special layup, and string pattern for them - I've strung plenty of them, so no BS...shows kudos to the 'P' for doing what it takes...

I guess they weren't too happy with losing the YEC in november.....trying for a new edge......they can't get a new partner so,,,what choice do they have ?

Look at the pics BobFL put up.

The racquet is an 18x20 and it looks exactly like Prince's stock photo of the rebel.

    They did make the switch.

Are you serious or just bored? They look NOTHING alike. Look at the throat just above the handle: it is at least 50% wider and the racquet head is totally different shape. It is a lot wider from 3 to 9...

Remember that the superstars get exactly what they want from companies like Prince. The twins don't even use the same layups and debating what they actually use is pointless.

It looks as much like a Rebel mold as it looks like a painted Pro Staff 85.

If you watched them play at all this tournament, you can see how round the head is. Some of the pics distort the head shape, but you can really see it on tv. Def a pj.

Kind of curious... does each brother use the same exact stick and string?

Is that a requirement in their new Doublemint Gum contract :)

I'm pretty sure it's the same racquet, but different string set-ups. I also believe different grips sizes. Perhaps someone with direct knowledge will ring in here.

They use now Prince gut in the main strings and luxilon in the crosses. One of them have grip size 4 , other 5.

I was stringing for them at RG. Bob is a grip 5, Mike is a grip 3. Rackets aren't exactly identical, as Bob's is slightly longer.
