What braces should that person get? What supplements can help? Thanks.
If your buddy has torn ligaments, he needs to be under the expert care of a good orthopod who deals with knee injuries, and whose rehab should involve a physical therapist. They can answer your questions about braces and supplements. (Hopefully he will recover ahd not need a brace. Hopefully he is already on a balanced diet and not in need of supplements.)
What ligament was torn?
MCL? There's a good chance he'll be fine after some period of rest...
ACL? Good luck playing sports at the level you're used to unless you have surgery.
Supplements? Anything with glucosamine and chondroitin. I don't think there's any actual studies saying that they work, though. A lot of people believe in them, however.
Brace? Can't help you there.
