If both frames have the 'Swirly' PJ, then I do not believe there is a difference between the two. I'm not exactly certain of the timeline, but I think the first 'Pure Control Swirly' (non-Team) was around 1999-2000. The 'Swirly Team' is also known as 'Pure Control 2001', and was released in...2001.

BTW...I know people ragged on it's stiffness, but I loved that frame. It's a shame they "don't make them like that anymore".

The team bit was added when the racquets got their US release to freshen them up a bit.A swirly is a swirly (tolerence aside)

I have the Swirly one and it is stiffer than the Pure Storm Tour GT. The stiffness does help with making it feel a tad more solid.

I love these frames too, and am about to pick up three of the "team" ones now that I know they are the same as the regular ones. They are extremely solid but are comfortable at the same time. Doesn't have that harsh feel with most of the stiff racquets out there IMO. Thanks guys!
